I scheduled an eye exam to obtain a new eyeglass prescription. Before I saw the optometrist, the receptionist required additional tests, including retinal imaging and glaucoma testing. I declined those tests and offered to sign a waiver. I specifically requested to speak with the optometrist, but the receptionist refused and stated that I could not speak with the doctor. My complaint is not about recommending additional tests, but about being denied the opportunity to discuss my informed refusal directly with the licensed optometrist.
