Really good and up-to-date frame collection - better than most shops in the bay area. I've had a very bad headache, because of over working and computer use, but Shaiyan was very helpful with figuring out the lenses requirements with my prescription.

I had a fantastic experience at eyeXam Optometry and highly recommend them for anyone looking for top-tier eye care. Why I Recommend Them: Cutting-Edge Technology: They utilize very advanced diagnostic machinery. It’s reassuring to know you’re getting the most precise and comprehensive exam possible with the latest equipment in the industry. Professional Staff: The entire team is welcoming, knowledgeable, and efficient. From the moment you walk in, you feel well-taken care of. All-Around Quality: Beyond the tech and the team, the overall atmosphere and "good stuff"—from the frame selection to the clarity of the consultation—make it a standout practice. If you are looking for a place that combines high-tech expertise with a friendly, professional environment, this is it!

Spring 2022: After so many bad reviews I was suspicious every step of the way. However my experience was good. Fast check out, fast testing. Good doctors . Prescribed me reading glasses and updated current glasses prescription. I ordered contact lenses that I was told was covered by my insurance I was suspicious and asked a million questions - I never received any additional bills. Not to mention that the place has a freakishly good design. I’ve had no problems here, fast appointment time, walking distance . December 2024: Another great experience at this place. Ordered my second glasses. (In 2023 I had my first glasses here I love them!!!!! ) This time I did Reading prescription. Liz was great and easy to talk to . She helped me with the right glasses color even though I hesitated cuz of the red color, but she assured me shade is good for me. Now I love them. They added blue light filtration to my lenses this time took me a day to get used to it - but since it’s for computer I think it’s important. Sadly prices for reflective coating went twice higher this year. But with insurance coverage still good. Place has modern technology , and is really stylish and clean. Stuff always friendly from my experience. Highly recommend. Extra thanks for fixing the loose screw on my old glasses for free :))

A lot of the negative reviews here are accurate. - some of the front desk attendants had an attitude. - the equipment was not properly sanitized (I saw a skin oil or makeup stain from whoever was last seated and putting their chin on their machines). - very strong upsell vibes once they discovered I didn't have computer lenses and have MGD issues. I just wanted to see if my eye prescription has changed and check on my eye health, not be pressured into scheduling more $1000+ tests and treatments (that aren't covered by insurance) just because there's no copay. 2 stars only because they accommodated my appointment for an eye exam. Post-review Update: I saw they also charged my insurance a contact lens exam when I never did that at all (as you can read above). I recalled seeing that my contact lens exam allowance was initially available in my portal last month. I guess they decided to charge for that after reading this review, lol.

My experience at this location felt very commercial and sales‑driven rather than patient‑focused. A few concerns worth noting: Retinal Screening Pressure: Retinal screening was presented as if it were mandatory, and they attempted to proceed without clearly asking for consent or explaining that it is optional. This screening is not required, and it is typically an out‑of‑pocket cost. In every other clinic I’ve visited, the doctor simply uses dilation drops to examine the retina when needed. Pricing Tactics for Frames/Lenses: When purchasing frames or lenses, they first quote the full price without insurance. This makes the add‑ons appear smaller after insurance is applied, which can mislead patients into higher out‑of‑pocket spending. Assumptions About Insurance Coverage: When I asked about coverage for Meta sunglasses, they immediately stated it wasn’t covered—without even checking my insurance benefits. I had to insist on verification. Misguidance on Sunglasses After Laser Vision Correction: After laser vision correction, ready‑made sunglasses should be eligible for coverage. Instead, they told me I was required to order prescription lenses with add‑ons. In the past, I have always received non‑prescription sunglasses through insurance with no issue. Now I’m stuck with prescription lenses at 0.25 power, which I didn’t need and which feel uncomfortable. Overall, the experience felt more focused on upselling than patient care.
