I received an eye exam at a different location and their retinal imaging machine could not get an image of my eye. They said my pupils were small and constricted and told me to go somewhere else to get my eyes dilated and examined again. After numerous calls to various locations I was greeted by Karen at Family Vision Clinic in Wilmington, North Carolina at 4514 Oleander Drive. She was very friendly and efficient, and scheduled me an eye exam that was very reasonably priced. They even accepted medicare and my medicare supplement towards the cost. I was very pleased with Doctor of Optometry, Boston Perkins. He was also very friendly and a good listener. He performed a very thorough eye exam for me that did not require dilation and explained in detail exactly what was going on with my eyes, gave me my prescription and I was in and out in no time. Thank you Family Vision Clinic.

I can not say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Peterson is fantastic and is willing to go above and beyond for her patients. I use a unique contact lens and she was willing to go the extra mile to help me get those lenses ordered. The front desk staff are also very accommodating and professional.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this experience truly warrants one. First, I want to start by saying that the doctor was absolutely wonderful—professional, kind, and a pleasure to work with. I am genuinely grateful for the care I received during my exam. Unfortunately, the front office experience was the complete opposite. One staff member in particular was extremely dismissive and spoke over me repeatedly, leaving no room for questions or clarification. The tone and attitude were unnecessarily condescending, creating an uncomfortable and frustrating interaction from the start. The other front desk associate, while kind, appeared completely unprepared and struggled to follow even basic communication. Simple questions and requests took an excessive amount of time to process, which only added to the overall inefficiency. As someone who works closely with business owners and understands how critical the customer experience is, I can confidently say that front-end staff can make or break a business. In this case, they are actively detracting from what could otherwise be a great practice. I sincerely hope ownership takes a closer look at their front office operations. Without improvement, this level of service will undoubtedly drive clients away—no matter how excellent the doctor may be.

Five stars is not enough honestly. Every person I interacted with here, from calling to make the appt to the doctor herself was so genuinely nice, patient and sweet as could be! Clean office, quick and efficient eye exam and I've never had an optometrist explain with pictures of my actual eye what was going on. Lovely experience all around!

I have been going to Family Vision Clinic for many, many years and I will always continue. They have the nicest employees working there and they make sure you are well taken care of throughout the procedures. Dr. Caroline Peterson is absolutely amazing, so kind and generous and she takes her time with you, you're never rushed. Always excellent service!!
