Highly recommend Florida Eye Institute! I had a foreign object emergency, I had gotten a piece of metal in my eye! With the extreme short notice F-E-I was able to squeeze me in. I never caught his name but doc took care of me. If I ever have an eye emergency Florida Eye Institute will be my first call! Thanks a bunch everyone from behind the counter to in the exam rooms.

I was scheduled for surgery on January 21, 2026 and on January 16, 2026 I received a call from them letting me know at the last minute that I needed to pay them $1,500.00 before my scheduled surgery. Then they informed me that I supposedly have identical stigmas in both my eye that according to them I was born with. So with that said, if I did not agree to them implanting a lens into both my eye then they would not do my surgery. So I had no chance to refuse the implants. No implants, then no surgery. They had the nerve to contact me 4 days before my surgery to inform me of the of the fact I needed to pay $1,500.00 dollars first or no surgery. Then I had to agree to them implanting the lens they wanted to implant. I was denied the legal right to make my own medical decision as to what I wanted. No implant, then NO SURGERY. If I didn't make payment of the $1,500.00 NO SURGERY. They lied to my insurance company by telling them they FLORIDA EYE INSTITUTE they sent me a letter. I at no time ever received any document from the Florida Eye Institute. THE FLORIDA EYE INSTITUTE DENIED ME MY LEGAL RIGHTS. THESE PEOPLE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED ON ANY LEVEL. Because I asked questions, they in turn canceled my surgery. I had every legal right to ask questions regarding my medical care. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THE FLORIDA EYE INSTITUE FOR ANY PROCEDURE. THESE PEOPLE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. THEY WILL LIE AND SAY ANYTHING JUST SO THEY CAN MAKE MONEY FROM THE PATIENT. I have since gone to two other medical institutions regarding getting my surgery for cataract removal and I have not been told that I have two identical stigmas that I was born with. I have however been told that I have a SLIGHT stigma in one of my eyes. Both of the other institutions I've gone to allowed me to make my own decisions as to which implant I wanted or if I wanted an implant at all. The FLORIDA EYE INSTITUTE can not be trust, and YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST THEM. They will lie at will. The surgeon in question is Dr. SWINDER. The FLORIDA EYE INSTITUTE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED AND SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED TO BE HONEST. I would like to think know, and believe when my life on any level is in the hands of a doctor that I should be able to trust the Doctor. The FLORIDA EYE INSTITUE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. I will never recommend the FLORIDA EYE INSTITUE for any type of EYE SURGERY! BEFORETOLD!!!! BE FOREWARNED!!!!!!! These people are dishonest!!!!!!! They just want to make money at your expense. I now feel completely safe with the new Eye Institution I have chosen to allow to do my surgery. Think very carefully before making your choice.

I was so impressed with this office. Making an appointment was an easy pleasant experience I had a question, left a message they responded right away. Front desk greeted me and was great. Medical staff all introduced themselves, explained procedure they would be doing. Dr Baudo was very personable when he greeted me. My eye exam went well He explained everything to me and answered my questions. I'm so pleased I chose this office.

Last week I went to Florida Eye Institute in Sebastian Florida. After seeing the opthalmogist when I asked for itemized billing statement, I was asked to come the following week to pick it up. This morning I drove 55 miles just to pick up my itemized bill because the clinic refused to send me soft copy as an email attachment. Before handing me over the bill, the young lady at the reception desk wanted me to tell my DOB in a very loud voice. There were around 20 patients around the desk. May be the lady is not aware of identity theft and urgently needs training.
