I had my first appointment and everything went great, new office for me. But when I recieved my glasses, my 4th pair in almost 5 years, I couldn't wear them without getting physically sick. I went in to find out my options. I felt like I was in a fish bowl, I couldn't look in the distance with out getting nauseous, woke up with a severe migraine. My script has changed every year. I know what it's like to have to adjust. I had a minor script, and even he stated I shouldn't have felt that way. He offered me a lesser option but wouldn't let me have it. He just expressed that he felt that I was upset with him when I assured him that it was the situation and not him. He then proceeded to tell me "I feel like your acting like a baby and you need to get over". So I told him that he could no longer help me and left. Staff eas nice though.

Initially walking into this office, everyone was very professional and always have been. The Dr checked my eyes and didn't say much. All he said was that I was right in my diagnosis. He didn't give me any advice or talk to me about my problem. I ordered glasses through them and waited 3 weeks before I decided to call to check on the order. They said they had my glasses and were ready to call me, I think they totally forgot. I went to pick up my new glasses, tried them on, and felt dizzy with them on. I was told that I needed to get use to them by their staff. After a week of wearing the new glasses I still felt dizzy, I called to talk to the Dr, all they said was I needed to come in, and I did. It seemed that I had to pry information out of him, but all he really said was it was going to take 2 or 3 months to get use to my new glasses. Hmmmm, I can't walk or drive feeling dizzy so I had to stop wearing them. I think I was misdiagnosed, but not sure.

I've live in Quincy a long time a prefer to shop local as much as possible. Dr Friden and his staff are very professional and educated towards my optometry needs. I would highly recommend doing business here because in my opinion it's nice to have a friendly relationship with your professionals. And if I ever have any issues they take care of my needs and I don't have to drive a long distance to get things done. Dr Friden business is definitely a asset in our community and the friendly atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing.

If I could give even less stars I would. I have been seeing him ever since he moved to Quincy and have purchased many pairs of glasses from him. I am a big supporter of buying local when available. While his staff is wonderful, I would not go to this eye doctor again. I had trouble with the glasses prescribed and instead of being willing to work with me, he kicked me off his patient rolls. Bad day, maybe, but very unprofessional.

I have been going to Dr. Friden since he first purchased the office from Dr.s Gilman & Gilman. I absolutely love this office. His staff provides the best customer service. They are always so patient and helpfu. I never been disappointed in the array of glasses they have to choose from and my family and I have always received them in a prompt time frame. A little over a year ago I was having issues with my vision changing in a fairly short amount of time. After seeing Dr. Friden and following his advice to see my medical doctor to perform tests I was able to head off a potentially dangerous situation. My family and I will be forever patients. I am very grateful to Dr. Friden and his staff and am thankful that he does what he does so well.
