Walking into the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission is usually something people prepare for like a fast day with no coffee and low expectations 😄 — but I have to say, this location was actually a pleasant surprise. First of all, if you come prepared (yes, with an appointment and all your documents, mamash like the sign says), things move way smoother than the horror stories you hear at the Shabbos table. You walk in, take a number, and before you finish checking your phone or reviewing a Tosafos in your head, they’re already calling you up. I was genuinely shocked — in a good way. The staff here were polite, calm, and helpful, which is not always a given in government offices. No eye-rolling, no sighing, no “go back and come again next week.” Just clear instructions, straight answers, and people actually trying to help you get through what you came for. Very menschlich behavior. The system itself felt organized. Lines were moving, things were explained clearly, and even when there was a wait, it didn’t feel chaotic. More like, “Okay, this is the DMV… but it’s being run with some seichel.” That alone deserves serious credit. Bottom line: for a place that no one wants to go to, this MVC does a solid job making the experience as painless as possible. Come prepared, keep your expectations realistic, and you might just walk out saying, “You know what? That wasn’t so bad.” And for the DMV, that’s saying a lot. 😄

Dare I write a review of a government agency?? Yes, I dare. Had to come in person to deal with an issue. Made an appt yesterday and arrived to find that their computers were down. That's not the workers fault, but I wish that this could have been communicated better either online or at least when I arrived. I only learned about the issue because I overheard someone. They lose a star for poor communication. Went there again today, again with an appt and it was fast and easy with everyone there very helpful and polite. Overall, I've never had any big issues with this location. And a Dunkin next store! (mind you that this review does not in any way endorse the State of NJ insofar as policy. I'm merely complimenting this DMV location)

I had an 11:30 appointment I got in it a couple of minutes to 11:00 and I was out by 11:13! Awesome

The workers were awesome. Very disappointed that I had to wait in line for 6.5 hours. They opened another week late because they were "testing the new text message system." No system was used as we all baked in the sun. At least they passed out cold water.

Inspection took 12 minutes from driving in to leaving. People were very nice and it ran like an oiled machine. Excellent work!!
