** Response to owner: As your records show, I wear glasses so I fully understand how dilations work. I waited from 1:15 - 2:30 to be seen by a random tech. Then I waited from 2:30 - 3:30 pm, before seeing another random assistant. Finally saw the doctor between at around 3:30/3:40 pm and completed the dilation then. Your team should've told me to come back at around 4 pm to avoid the long wait time. ** I came here today and it was a nightmare. I called in advance for a Dr appointment and the guy said to come in at 1:15 pm. I didn't leave the dr office until 4 pm. They should've just told us this would be a long wait and I'll come back later in the day. I didn't end up picking a pair of glasses from here. After waiting for the first hour, a tech brought me to the back room to take eye ball pics and test eye pressure. Was asked to sit outside again, then called back to do vision test. Had to wait again before seeing the doctor; they dilated my eyes. If you're gonna wait here, bring a book or something. My whole day honestly went to waste.

The staff here is so personable and professional! It’s a great high-tech environment and the whole process feels really comfortable. I’ve enjoyed every single one of my eye care visits over the past 3 years. I keep coming back!
I will never go to the GVS near Kings Plaza again. First off they gave 3 people appointments for 10am, and the employees didn't start getting to work until 945. I then caught the lady doing my payments try to charge me an extra $70 when I should automatically get this discount. Then the attitude starts. Very unprofessional strictly a money grab for overpriced glasses and contacts. You're better off getting your free exam and buying your glasses or contacts elsewhere.
I had an outstanding experience at General Vision (GVS), and Lena truly made all the difference. From the moment I interacted with her, it was clear she was knowledgeable, focused, and genuinely invested in helping me. She took the time to explain everything clearly, anticipated questions before I even asked them, and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. At no point did I feel rushed or brushed off—her attention and professionalism were consistent throughout. What really sets Lena apart is her presence. She’s calm, confident, and incredibly thorough, which makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with details that matter. The entire experience felt smooth, organized, and reassuring because of her. It’s rare to come across someone who combines competence, patience, and genuine care so seamlessly. General Vision is lucky to have her, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend GVS—especially if you have the opportunity to work with Lena.
Always neat, clean & temperature controlled. Available parking in rear. Stellar receptionists, "most" insurance accepted & thorough eye exam. On other hand, when you step outside insurance coverage prepare to submit both arms & legs. The addition of progressive lenses and/or transitions or blue-violet is EXPENSIVE. In addition their frames are costly (upwards of $600) After your exam, retrieve your prescription and shop elsewhere for frames and/or lenses. Don't bother looking at products in their showcase or shelves.
