Dr. Dues friendly and professional. Her examination is thorough and she explains things so that it's easy to understand. The staff are efficient and kind and always willing to help. The atmosphere is light and inviting. There's a wide selection of prescription frames to choose from and I never feel rushed. Thank you to the whole staff!

I was experiencing extreme eye redness and excessive watering in my right eye for over two days. I did a walk-in hopefully to get a tip on medication. The friendly staff made it possible to see Dr. Claire after only a 10 min. wait. I was given a thorough exam and testing which indicated a viral infection and an abnormality creating a blockage of my tear ducts which I think, left untreated would have me encountering many more days of pain and sleepless nights. I was prescribed Neomycin and Polymyxin eyedrops. Within a few hours all the symptoms began starting to disappear and the next morning I was 99 % back to normal. Dr. Claire impressed me tremendously with her empathy, knowledge, and engaging personality. She even took the time to make Dr. Dues, (my regular Dr.) aware of my condition. You all went above and beyond my expectations, Thank you.

I have never had an eye check that was so thorough in my life. The whole staff was excellent. I know that they sure put my comfort and health first. I would highly recommend Grand Lake EyeCare to anyone. They were fabulous !!! I’ll DEFINITELY be going back !!!

My visit was great. It took a little bit longer than I thought it would, an hour and a half. It was very thorough. Also it was expensive. I’ve recently retired so I appreciate the “pay immediately” discount (pay with check, 20%; if you forget your checkbook which I rarely use anymore; your immediate pay credit card payment only gets you a 15% discount). Dr Hemmelgarn is awesome. I’ve had some issues in the past with a retina tear and she is extremely thorough and I feel confident that I’m doing well. As a recent retiree I may have to look into some different options just to reduce my overall costs for vision care. Still thinking…
