I’ve always had a great experience at this office. Everybody there are very kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the practice. I absolutely love Dr. Quackenbush. He been nothing but very professional and helpful about my particular situation. I would recommend him and the entire practice to any of my family and friends.

Dr Quackenbush at Hixson Eyecare is outstanding as an ophthalmologist in every way! His exams are thorough and complete. Then he takes the time to explain what he has found. He also takes the time to compare it with past results so that the patient can understand what he's saying. He even draws diagrams to explain. Finally, he explains prognosis. I drive 100 miles from Knoxville where I live to his Hixson office because he is so well worth it! Then I make the hundred mile trip back. I am a senior citizen and pray that I can continue the drive to see him because he is well worth it! His front office staff are friendly, accurate and efficient. His assistance are also knowledgeable friendly and efficient in the tests they perform.
I had a great experience. Everyone was kind and professional. My eye exam was very thorough and everything was explained to me. The woman assisting with glasses was wonderful. Thank you to the entire team!
New patient visit. I had a concern with my left eye and I needed an eye doctor that could diagnose an eye issue whereas my normal place just does prescriptions for glasses/contacts. Although they were booked until June, the scheduling administrator got me in immediately that day. Dr. Quackenbush was absolutely amazing. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue, alleviated my fear that it was something worse, and gave me instructions for aftercare. I went ahead and scheduled my eye exam for next year with Hixson Eye Care and am very happy to now have a place where I can get my yearly scripts but also go to with any concerns I may have. I would recommend Hixson Eye Care.
