I’ve been going to homer eye care for about two years now. In those two years I was bounced between the two doctors, I didn’t get to choose who I saw. On top of that, I had an injury to my cornea from my contacts. During my follow up from that I was told my eye was healed and I was pushed to order more contacts. Two days after wearing my contacts again I had awful pain in my eye. I ended up going to a different optometrist for a second opinion and found out that my eye had in fact not healed and was now worse. I was advised that I shouldn’t have tried putting contacts back in for months to let my cornea heal. Due to homer eye cares lack of care and their need to push selling lenses, I now have lasting damage in my eye. They also failed to tell me they don’t take federal employee blue cross insurance so I had to pay out of pocket unexpectedly. They had me file my own claim through insurance which was denied because I should have been informed that they do not take my insurance. This facility does not care about patient care, they care about money and getting people in and out as fast as possible. Though the staff is friendly I suggest going elsewhere unless you are just needing a new contact or lens prescription.
