I’ve been a regular here since I started using them to stock supplies for my business. The service seems to be hit-or-miss. I went to stock up tonight and had to use self-checkout since, like in most grocery stores these days, scanning and bagging is now the job of the customer. The inconvenience is bad enough, but this time it was even more frustrating as apparently I didn’t properly check out my bananas. I guess the AI arches detected this because the exit guard went straight for them with his scanner and informed me that I hadn’t paid for them. So with an order that costed over $200, and my kid in tow, he made me run back to the self-checkout line with my bananas and flag down another clerk (who was busy helping another customer) to help me put them in as a new order because the scanner didn’t recognize the barcode. FOR BANANAS. THEY WERE LESS THAN 2 DOLLARS. THEY LAST A FEW DAYS AND I’M SURE THE STORE THROWS AWAY TONS OF THEM EVERY WEEK. Not only did it inconvenience me, it inconvenienced my kid and the other clerk at a time when everyone was just ready to go home. It seems like the exit guard should have some discretion when it comes to trivial amounts, especially when it’s closing time and I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars. I feel like I was nickel-and-dimed over freakin bananas, when meanwhile I’m a regular customer who spends hundreds of dollars every month. But hey being penny wise, pound foolish is a great way to stay in business amirite? Maybe attitudes will change once we get a Costco in town.

Love my Bloomington Sam's Club visits. Store is ALWAYS CLEAN. Employees are always KIND and HELPFUL. ****Today when I was there, Annette was very helpful when assisting me with SCAN-N-GO. I had most of my items scanned and then the last 3 or 4 wouldn't scan and she mentioned it might be residue on my phones camera lens. She wiped it off and viola, and that allowed me to scan the last few items and then get checked out with ease.

Sam's Club is awesome. The workers are friendly, the store is clean. I love the free samples. My only complaint is how crowded it gets, but that's not the store's fault.

Can’t beat $5 for a Rotisserie chicken. You won’t find one for that anywhere else in Bloomington, that I’m aware of. I made my own sides as soon as I got home. Took the top of the Rotisserie, & it was still hot! Sam’s Club doesn’t disappoint this lady right here.

I have been a big fan of curbside pickup for a while because at 5’3 a full chart can get pretty hard to push/see around. However, the last few times I’ve ordered they haven’t had what I needed in store so it had to be delivered to my house. Easy peasy right? Wrong! So, wrong! Take my most recent order I ordered 3 things this past Sunday night into Monday morning for a 9-10 a.m. pickup. Only 1 thing is available the other 2 need to be shipped now. So now I’m not only inconvenienced. I’m also still out of product and now an additional $8.00 for shipping on top of my “club membership”. Oh and as I type this at 8:30 p.m. on Friday night I still do not have my 2 items that were shipped from North Carolina of all places. My 2 products have been setting in Terre Haute for over 12 hours at this point. There obviously a problem I’m just not sure where it’s at. The continuous lack of product on hand. Charging members shipping fee’s for your lack of product. Or the crisscrossing of product when I think it probably could have been found closer. On top of all that you want to raise the membership fees seriously 😳 🤦🏻‍♀️ UPDATE: 4/4/26 FINALLY received my 2 products today at 1:00 p.m. Even though FedEx left them at the bottom of my hill at my mailbox and no where near my house next to a busy road in the pouring rain! I think I’m done with Sam’s Club for a while. There is not enough convenience or selection for the price at this point to make it make sense.
