If there ever was a best place for optical I have finally found it. The office was so inviting and a totally happy place. The staff could not be more courteous and kind and ever so professional and helpful. Dr. Gundersheimer was so thorough and patient even when I asked to repeat any part I was not sure of. The office itself is amazing and totally inviting...I for one always dreaded eye exams but here it was a total positive experience in every way from the moment I opened the door...they have gone above and beyond with both my eye exam and my exam for my contacts and have taken the extra mile to work with me to get the correct contacts that suit both my needs and color desire. I totally recommend his office and his kind staff.

Amazing experience for my daughter from start to finish. Everyone we encountered was kind and compassionate and explained everything so well. Plus all the decor is an added bonus.
Dr. Gundersheimer is the best! I have allergies and sometimes food causes itchy, watery, irritating red eyes that look scary. I can always feel this coming on, so I have time to adjust my diet. But Tuesday evening, I sprayed some bug spray to kill some ants in some of our windows (Ortho Home Defense). I started getting a little itch and opened the windows for ventilation and thought nothing more of it. The next morning, about a half hour after I woke up, BAM. My left eye so so red, so fast, I was really worried about some kind of contaminant. I called Eye-Do Optical and they got me in promptly that morning. Dr. Gundersheimer examined it, assured me that it was just an allergic reaction and prescribed some special drops. I was back at work and clear-eyed and relieved in no time. He and his staff are always polite and professional. If you need eye care or eyewear, Eye-Do is the best place to start. Jerry Barrax, Sherman, TX
This review needs to be stated. I’ve worn contact lenses for years and know what works for my eyes. During my exam, the doctor insisted I switch to astigmatism contacts, despite me clearly explaining that I had already tried them in the past and they did not work for me. After wearing the trial lenses, I contacted the office multiple times to say I could not see properly. Instead of listening and honoring my request to move forward with standard contacts, I was kept in a never-ending trial process for nearly two months—all while repeatedly stating that my vision was impaired. What’s most alarming is that my feedback as a patient was consistently ignored. I was not allowed to simply purchase the contacts I requested, even though they are what I’ve successfully worn for years. When a patient says they cannot see, that should be taken seriously. Here, it wasn’t. I ultimately went to another optometrist and had the correct contacts in under a week, at almost half the price I was being quoted here. The rigidity, lack of patient listening, and insistence on a more expensive option that clearly wasn’t working was frustrating and concerning. This felt less like patient-centered care and more like being pushed toward a product. If you value being heard, respected, and able to see clearly without weeks of unnecessary delays, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
This is an excellent optometrist office. Everyone was so sweet and worked extra hard to help me with my insurance. I really can't explain what a wonderful experience they made for me.
