I had one of the worst experiences from one of the ladies at the front desk. She was not pleasant. She never looked me in the eye. She kept looking at her computer and asked me did I have an appointment however, the office manager did have a conversation with me and she said she will be getting some coaching and training. I also shared with the office manager that I would not be back. The office manager was very pleasant very warm, very welcoming. I wish I had someone else to talk to you before I met with the lady that was in the front.

The staff was nice enough, especially the receptionist, but, I had to come long way for this appointment because the Rosedale branch was booked. Also FYI, the optometrist at Rosedale is leaving June 1, 2026 and they are not booking appointments at this time. I tried to make one and was told this info. That is quite surprising considering how crucial that location is. The lady that took me into the room and did the initial assessment was OK. I'm not used to eye appointments and she seemed a little abrupt. I was feeling anxious about a flashing line in my eye. The doctor came in very low-key. Perhaps he was tired. I was nervous about my eyesight. He did his thing which took only a few minutes. He answered my few questions, but I like explanations. I got more info from Google AI than I got from him. He was OK. I'm not even sure I got his name. I had to ask him on the way out. Maybe he was tired or had a long week. He said my eye is aging and nothing unusual was happening. A huge relief to me, but not a big deal to them. It was Good Friday and I was called in earlier. I think they all just wanted to go home early or something. They did their jobs efficiently. I just felt a little rushed and a bit embarrassed that I didn't know "the drill." I am very good at reading people and my assessment was that they just wanted to start their holiday weekend and get me done and out quickly. I just feel a little sad writing this because I didn't feel important.
Had a great experience at Katzen in Reisterstown Maryland. Front desk Person was very friendly and checked me in quickly. Doctor was thorough and caring. I will be going back For my next check up.
I brought my girls in today but was a little confused with the office. It was our first time at the office. I was reassured and the exams went well, ordered glasses for two kids. They were happy with their selection. Let's hope that the girls wear them properly.
I gave this office a 3-star rating, although initially I was leaning toward 2 stars. The reason I didn't go that low is because it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the staff. The ladies at the front desk were outstanding—friendly, professional, and welcoming. The staff member who brought me back and prepared me for my appointment was excellent as well. Everyone I interacted with before seeing the doctor made a very positive impression. It's also worth mentioning that I'm not the type of patient who asks a lot of questions. I'm generally a "get me in and get me out" kind of person, and I asked very few questions during my visit. That is part of the reason the interaction stood out to me. I wasn't looking for an extended discussion—just a little more engagement and willingness to address the few concerns I had. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Sadovnik was completely different. I felt that he was very short with me and seemed annoyed whenever I asked questions about my eye. Most of his responses were only one to three words, which left me feeling like my concerns weren't important. To be fair, everyone can have an off day, and perhaps there were circumstances I wasn't aware of. However, as a patient, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. When I left the appointment, I called my wife and told her that I did not want to return to this practice. I don't want to penalize the entire office because several members of the staff were excellent, but the doctor was the primary reason for my visit, and that experience overshadowed everything else. Thankfully, I don't have eye problems very often unless I happen to injure myself playing sports. However, if I ever need to see an eye doctor again, I would choose a different practice rather than return here.
