I had an appointment with Dr. Alex Kilgore today. It was my first visit. I had been referred. I can't say enough good things about him. I left his office full of information he patiently provided from the tests. Wonderful man. His assistant Kinandra was amazing. Sorry for misspelling your beautiful name.

I initially went to other eye clinics when first moving to the area and eventually went to Dr Kenneth Kilgore. He and all of the staff have always been so helpful, friendly and thorough. Since his retirement, I now see Dr Alex Kilgore who was extremely helpful and thorough in explaining my particular options for cataract surgery. Asking numerous times if I had questions. He, also is very friendly and so knowledgeable.
The ladies were wonderful both at the front desk and in back. The doctor was very thorough and explained everything to my understanding. My only complaint is the waiting time. It was an hour and a half past my appointment time before I got back to see the doctor.
I went to the Kilgore Vision Center in Mountain Home for years, and the doctors and receptionists there were always kind, welcoming, and great to work with. After moving to Harrison, I started going to the Kilgore Vision Center here. I’ve been in twice, and the doctors are still great. However, my experience with the optical staff has been mixed. One optical employee was not helpful at all, while the others were much more helpful. My husband called ahead to ask about getting copies of receipts and was told over the phone that they wouldn’t send them via email and that he could come in to get them. Maybe it’s policy, which is fine. When he arrived, the employee he dealt with was rude and dismissive, acting as though she did not have time to help him and saying she was “super busy.” While that may have been true, it does not excuse her behavior. Everyone can have a bad day, but this experience was unacceptable. The doctors are excellent, but the front-of-house staff are the first people customers interact with, and their attitude sets the tone for the entire visit. Customer service in the optical and front areas is extremely important and needs improvement at this location.
Been using Kilgore since moving to the area. All the staff have been extremely kind and helpful, explaining my vision needs in a way I can understand. I feel very comfortable trusting them with my eye sight.
