I had an exceptional experience as a new patient this morning at Lakefront Eyecare. Dr. Dugan and her staff are top-notch! Dr Dugan was very thorough with her exam and explained everything so well. The entire office was kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful, too!

I rarely rate any business, especially negatively. My doctor and I looked where a good place would be to replace my lenses in a brand-new pair of Ray-Ban frames. (Back-story-I had the lenses created the first time somewhere else and it was not the right measurement from eyes to lens.) I’ve had the same pair of frames previous to getting this new pair and replaced the lenses 2 times. Since the lenses were wrong and I had a decent pair and let too much time go by to hold the previous company accountable, I just continued using the old pair. Again, same frames and I have changed the lenses twice before. Ray-Ban makes the plastic material capable of up to 4 heat cycles or more to take out and replace lenses over time. Well, I got them back like the picture below shows…. and they said it’s a common occurrence for plastic frames that have gone through multiple heat cycles to warp. After leaving them with the manager (optician), they were unable to really even get the fit remotely close. These frames were cranked hard and they were not cooled in the “jig” the acrylic heater machine comes with. Often due to an assembly-line type process. The solution from the optician was for me to use my insurance for another pair of frames! Remember, these frames were literally never used except to make sure they fit on me the first time without any adjustments. The temples were perfectly straight and where they met the ear and didn’t require any bending. $260 frames useless. Though not the result of the optician, the lens company they used should have been accountable or someone should re-train them? I don’t know. The only reason there are 2 stars is because the lenses are exactly what I wanted and not many places have all of the options. This was a lengthy and disappointing process. I would not recommend or suggest plastic frames from them nor using them as an office to get replacement lenses for existing glasses. No accountability and if you knew how much the lenses cost me…….BW

Dr. Dugan is wonderful! She was incredibly patient with me as I asked a million questions. She never made me feel rushed and really took the time to explain things. She has a very calm, positive and empathetic demeanor. Her staff are also top tier! Incredibly friendly and helpful! They helped us work out payment since our insurance wasn't covered. The office and equipment look brand new. All around wonderful experience! Highly recommend!!

I needed an adjustment done to a contact lens prescription from another local dr. I decided to try a new Dr. and was recommended to Dr. Dugan and Lakefront Eyecare. They saw me the next day, did a complete eye exam, and refitted the contacts. Dr. Dugan took the time to explain several options and work through what would be best for me. I left that day with a completely new prescription that is far better than when I went in. Dr. Dugan offered to tweak it a bit if necessary and had a slightly different lens ordered to be sent to my home to try in one eye. Very pleased with the kind professional service from Dr. Dugan and staff. I will make them my primary eye doctor going forward. Edit: Two months later and Dr. Dugan saw me again as I was having some issues with the comfort of my lenses. She immediately diagnosed the issue, quite minor, and has me on a quick path back to comfortable lenses. Super sharp vision!

My wife and I had a great experience with Dr. Dugan for our optometrist appointment. We saw her for the first time and she made us feel like we were her regular patients. Her staff was professional and courteous throughout our visit. We were giving ample time to pick out the lenses that we wanted. Thanks Dr. Dugan !
