While the staff was polite and friendly, the practice has significant billing and operational issues. They had trouble verifying my insurance coverage and insisted on a copay, despite confirmation from my insurance provider that I have a $0 copay for this tier 1 network provider. Furthermore, the wait times are entirely unacceptable. I arrived at 2:00 PM for a 2:20 PM appointment, but I was not seen by the doctor until 4:20 PM—a full two-hour wait past my scheduled time. When the receptionist previously addressed the long delay, the only option offered was to reschedule, which is not a viable solution. To make matters worse, after waiting two hours, the doctor spent less than two minutes in the room. Jeffrey Zonderman briefly looked at my eyes, stated he sent a letter to my primary care physician, and that was it. I cannot recommend this practice based on such disorganized operations and rushed care.

My most recent visit was excellent. I normally see Dr. David Perlmutter but saw Dr. Ray at this visit. She was thorough and patient. I have always been happy with the high level of care I receive here. They are also working hard to address the long wait times that occur on certain days/times. I highly recommend them.

Top shelf doctors, highly talented, personable, knowledgeable, competent and they listen carefully. The practice wait time has improved greatly with the addition of Dr. Ray in Clifton Park. Naturally, there's more providers to service the large demand in Clifton Park's office. Dr. David is a gem and it's great to see that he's added a super-star with Dr. Ray. They've got a comfortable state of the art facility with good support staff. What an asset to the northern area of New York.

I had a very disappointing experience at Perlmutter Eye Center. The staff member I dealt with was extremely rude, disrespectful, and made me feel uncomfortable during my visit. I also noticed a tattoo depicting a person being lynched, which I found deeply disturbing and inappropriate in a medical setting. On top of that, the medication I was prescribed did not help my symptoms at all. I expected much better communication, professionalism, and care from a specialized eye center. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location and would strongly encourage patients to consider other options before making an appointment.

I'm going to be honest the clinic was very full on this day and behind, however when they found out the I didn't drive and a Medicab was scheduled to pick me up they did their best to get me out on time. Things aren't going to always go according to plan but the way they responded is what did it for me. Good job and thank you
