Went to try the new meta glasses today, customer service was great and friendly. I did not feel rushed because it was christmas eve. Nice selection of frames. Only thing I wish is that the lens crafter site or when you make an appointment they tell you that it's a possible wait list because they only get a certain amount in stock and if you want your prescription in the meta frames it can take 6-8 weeks to get back. (Maybe i missed it) So if you planning on a gift etc plan ahead when buying. Otherwise good experience.

visited this location on 12 Mile and Telegraph intending to purchase new eyewear using my vision insurance and FSA funds. While I observed the staff being warm, welcoming, and attentive to every other customer in the store, my experience was the polar opposite. I was greeted with a dismissive "What do you want?" rather than an offer to assist. Despite being a serious customer ready to make a purchase, I was treated as an inconvenience. There is a specific kind of "polite" disrespect where a staff member smiles while completely ignoring your needs and prioritizing others; that is exactly what I experienced here. If you value consistent, equitable customer service, I suggest taking your business elsewhere. I certainly will be.
Ari was extremely helpful in showing me Ray-ban Display glasses I was interested in to use the closed caption feature due to my hearing loss. She walked me through a complete tutorial, explained the features and warranty and had me checked out all within 40 minutes of my appointment. If I'm ever in need of service or new glasses, I'll be returning and asking for her
I recently visited LensCrafters in Southfield to purchase a pair of glasses as a gift and spent over $300. Unfortunately, the customer service I received did not match the level of professionalism I expected. The employee assisting me, Nia, seemed uninterested in helping and came across as rude and dismissive during the process. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that another customer even commented on her attitude, which confirmed that I wasn’t the only one noticing it. When spending hundreds of dollars on a purchase, customers should be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. While I was happy to find the glasses I wanted, the service experience left a lot to be desired. I hope management addresses this issue so future customers have a better experience.
Today, I had a terrific eye exam at this LensCrafters. Dr. Spalter and the staff were both considerate and professional. The entire process was both efficient but also thoughtful in how each part of my eye exam went as the LensCrafters staff were pleasant from beginning of my arrival to when I left. It was also easy to discuss eye health with Dr. Spalter who shows he cares about his patients the entire time. Great visit!!
