This is the email that I sent to the leadership team. There is no direct line or email at this office. Would not recommend, not once. I picked up my prescription yesterday and will never return. Horrible experience. Doctors talking about doctors, interruptions, undergarments exposed at front desk. Horrible. I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my experience at your office on 3/23 (two weeks from yesterday) and the lack of professional follow-through since. I sent a message last week vaguely addressing my concerns in hopes of a prompt resolution, yet I have received no response. As a patient who has managed a high prescription (-11.5) since the 6th grade, I visited your practice to explore new opportunities for my vision care. Unfortunately, the service was unacceptable, and two weeks later, I still have not received my prescription or the trial contact lens that was supposed to be ordered. I would like to bring the following matters to your attention: Communication Failures: Despite my message last week and subsequent attempts to call for an update, I have been unable to get anyone on the phone or receive a status report. Unprofessional Conduct: The environment was unprofessional, specifically regarding staff discussing a neighboring eye doctor in front of me. Additionally, the attire of the receptionist was inappropriate for a clinical setting. You could see her underwear as she typed on her computer. The male receptionist is the only professional person in that office and it could be distracting for coworkers. Clinical Disruptions: My intake exam was interrupted twice so other patients could use the equipment, which made the process feel disorganized and distracting. Extended Wait Times: The entire appointment lasted over two hours, which is excessive given the lack of results. At this point, I no longer wish to continue as a patient at your practice. I am requesting that my signed prescription and sent to my email address asap:

It was the worst experience I have ever had. I scheduled this appointment two weeks in advance and even had to leave work early just to make it on time. My appointment was at 3:15 PM, yet after waiting 30 minutes with no update, I had to go to the front desk myself at 3:45 PM to ask what was going on. To my surprise, I was told they could not see me because there were other patients ahead of me. This makes absolutely no sense—what is the purpose of scheduling an appointment if patients are not seen at their assigned time? This level of disorganization and lack of respect for patients’ time is unacceptable. No one should have to take time off work, wait, and then be turned away without being seen. I would not recommend this place to anyone.i also won’t be returning and will also advise my family not to go there
Hello, I had a great experience. The wait was not long and each staff member who worked with me was informative and friendly. I am hard of hearing and, when asked, they made sure I heard and understood them. My next visit is coming up and I usually dread medical appointments, but not this one.
My husband went to see ophthalmologist Brian Planchard at the Wekiva Magruder Eye Institute. They advertise consultations for Hispanic patients, but that's a lie. It was the worst medical appointment we've ever had. The doctor is racist towards Hispanics. He never made eye contact with my husband, and when he asked a question to the translator, the doctor interrupted her and said he would continue explaining later. Of course, he never did. They lack empathy and human warmth towards their patients. I really do not recommend Dr. Brian Planchard. That's why this place has such a low rating—they deserve it. Personally, I don't recommend it at all, especially if you need eye surgery. Thursday, May 5, 2026
I had a really disappointing experience here. I have significant eye sensitivity, which can make completing an eye exam difficult, and I explained this to the doctor beforehand. Instead of being understanding, he was extremely rude and impatient with me throughout the exam. He came across as frustrated, robotic, and like he didn’t enjoy his job at all. It made an already challenging situation very uncomfortable. I expected more professionalism and compassion from a healthcare provider. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
