Massengale Eyecare

An accident at school left our son with a significant corneal abrasion. After a visit to the ER, we still needed the expert opinion of a specialist. Dr. Ott and Dr. Massengale fit us in quickly to lend their expertise, prescribed a routine specific to our son's needs, dressed the wound, and followed up with multiple visits over the next week to monitor progress. Our son is now fully healed with no signs of a prior injury. Thank you to the office of Dr. Massengale and his excellent team!

We absolutely love these folks! The attention to detail is beyond amazing. From walking in at the front desk, to seeing doc, checking out and leaving again- there is always a smile, 'hi how are you', and 'thank you'. The staff is genuine, polite and respectful. Dr Massengale and Jason O. always take their time with explanations tied to what they find/see and the reason for your visit. My daughters nurse, my special needs daughter, and my dad are all patients here. We wouldn't dare go anywhere else!

UPDATE: Returned in November and made sure Nate was there to help me pick out new glasses and of course he did a fabulous job! Returned again yesterday to get glasses adjusted. Nate was not there, but Elisa did an excellent job and even swapped nose pads and lenses for me. I've been very happy with my last 2 visits and I hope you can keep these outstanding employees for years to come! Laura Scheduling was easy, front desk was polite, Jacob was very friendly and thorough. Dr. Massengale was congenial, professional and knowledgeable as always. Unfortunately the visit fell short when it came to optical staff. I browsed the frame selection before the exam and was not greeted by either of the two people at the desks, they didn't even look up, to my knowledge. The disappointment continued after the exam. When I returned to the optical area again, no greeting, no acknowledgement, I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do so I just continued browsing and trying on frames. Finally the woman, Kim, came over and asked if she needed to pull out understock or if what they had out was enough. What?! How about "hi, my name is Kim"? I had to ask her name and about my insurance coverage. I was never offered any help or suggestions. I even inquired about if Nate or Ellen were there. I was told Ellen was there and Kim went to the back, but Ellen never came out during my visit. I was fully prepared to purchase glasses because I know they use the best materials, but I needed a little help that was not offered. I know what good customer service is and this was not it, not my a long shot. I'm am very disappointed. Laura

This place is amazing. Due to the fact I have two jobs, it's hard for them to accommodate my schedule. They always find a spot formed. Dr. Massengale is courteous, polite, professional, friendly and thorough. His staff, especially Madison is kind, gentle, professional, understanding and empathetic. I used to use Dean McGee, I will not be going back to Dean McGee

They lie to you about what insurance covers and are terrible for unsuspecting soonercare members. Glasses should be covered but they wanted a sitting fee and this is even after we not only asked at the time if making the appointment but also as we checked in! Then we get dine with the exam and they state we have to pay xx amount. It's dishonest and it's sad they have to do business like this. Very disapointed and looking into options to contact soonercare to report them. If you have soonercare, beware. Thier words mean nothing!
