I am sorry that Dr. Michael J. Fischer is serving as the president of the of NV Medical Board to which I filed a medical complaint. The NV Board has a long history of not doing its job in protecting consumers. In my malpractice case, damage was done to my face at a dermatology office and confirmed by a medical expert. I had one acne spot that never got treated. Instead, I got lasered excessively to where it accelerated wrinkling, crooked lips (and thinner on top and puffy underneath), cheek volume loss, lip numbness, jowls, to name some changes. The dermatologist consequently referred me to a cosmetic surgeon. The NV Board closed my case, exonerated the doctor, and would not respond to my questions. The NV Medical Board will also not allow for consumer reviews of it to be posted on their Google pop-up tab.

Excellent eye doctor. Very thorough examination, perfect prescription. Most drs screw up on mine, resulting in many headaches. I had none after seeing him. His bedside manner could be improved, but he knows what hes doing, so its not a big deal. Deputy Optics is in the same building, they are friendly and skilled! I love my glasses frames, they are so pretty!

I had a terrible experience. Katie, the receptionist, advised me upon arrival that they could not bill my daughters primary without a referral. And that her secondary did not cover vision. With that, I was confused why that wasnt said to me two months ago when I made the appointment, but accepted my fate in having to foot the full bill. My daughter just needed to be seen. Katie proceeded to tell me that she would not put my daughter in the system without my husbands SSN, even though I had provided all insurance cards. I did not have his SSN on hand so I had to call him but could not get a hold of him. I asked if I could just give it to her as soon as he responded - she said no. She said my daughter would not even be seen without his SSN. I was very disappointed in the fact that I took off of work for this appointment, and waited two months for this appointment & was still refused to have my daughter seen - and in the end was still probably going to end up footing the bill anyway! I had no choice but to leave - and honestly, that is fine with me. I refuse to give my money to someone who clearly doesn't want my money anyway - there are plenty of other eye doctors in Carson City. Go to someone else.

Dr. Fisher is not always the best "people person", but after trying another Opthamologist I am convinced that Dr. Fisher knows his stuff. The prescription he gave me was perfect. The prescription the other opthamologist gave me was horrible. Dr. Fisher has skills and knowledge.
