Well received in a prompt and friendly way at reception. All those who provided pre-exam eye test procedures were professional, friendly, and efficient. My eye doctor, Leighan R. Monroe, O.D. is personable, knowledged, professional and willing to answer my questions in an easy and accessible manner. The optical technician, Lilly is friendly, helpful and very good at working with the customer to help them meet their eyewear needs. Overall great experience every time I go to Midwest Eye Consultants in Maumee!

I have been going to this office for a few years now. I highly recommend that someone try this office. Staff is courteous and friendly. I always feel that my concerns are addressed. Dr. Monroe is really great. I feel like I'm in good hands here.

during my last visit the doctor walked into the room, didn’t greet me or introduce herself. then she proceeded to try to touch my face/eyes after being on the computer, touching both doorknobs to open & close the door, and touching drawer handles/items. she then gave me steriod eye drops for “dry eye relief” and instructed me to use them multiple times a week. this ended up increasing my eye pressure & causing horrific migraines & making my sight blurry/sensitive. i haven’t went back since as it seems the doctor doesn’t know what she’s doing. I recently called 9 times within the past week to see if i could have my eye glasses script to me & how to go about that. i left a voicemail everytime & a time frame on when to call back if necessary. i was called outside of the recommended time frame 3 times - and i was only called back 3 times. no info on if/how i could have my script sent me. just instructions to call them back AGAIN. after leaving one more voicemail because they never answer the phone, they sent me an expired script & didn’t even include all the script info id need to buy new glasses online. this company is so unprofessional.

been a patient here for a few years, good experiences with doctors. scheduling can be rather interesting for them as it seems to go through a larger agency. the older woman receptionist with grey hair can be quite unpleasant and harsh towards patients in initial insurance intake. ultimately helpful, but seems to bark and speak harshly for a simple 3-minute interaction. i hope she is doing okay!

I had an excellent experience here today. I was having an eye issue and they worked me in that day, on a Friday afternoon. Everyone at the Maumee location was very nice from the front desk staff to the nurse (wish I could remember her name-she was fantastic and very friendly) and the doctor, as well as my check out procedure. I saw Dr. Monroe today. She was super friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. Despite being worked in, they were very timely and I did not have a long wait at all!! When I called to make my appointment, I spoke with Michelle in the call center. She was super friendly and helpful. She placed me on hold to contact the office directly to see if I could be worked in that day and offered another location if the Maumee location wouldn't be able to squeeze me in. Admittedly, I had been there years ago and didn't much care for my experience with the office staff and was a bit apprehensive. This time was the exact opposite. I feel the office has made a complete turn around and I am very happy with my visit today. If you had a bad experience in the past... give them another try! I'm very glad I chose them today and will continue to return for my eye care. I highly recommend them and especially Dr. Monroe!! Thank you to all at the Maumee location for prioritizing my eye health! It would have been a long weekend without you today!!
