My first time at Mint Vision. A small practice with a very personal feel. Dr. Ruiz and his staff made me feel very comfortable and confident. During my eye exam, Dr. Ruiz explained every aspect of the exam and what the images meant. That made me feel very at ease. An overall great experience and I will be going back again. Highly recommend!!
If you’re looking for an eye doctor in the Northwest suburban area, I highly recommend Dr. Ruiz He is kind, patient, and takes the time to answer questions and address any concerns. He genuinely cares about his patients and provides excellent care. The office staff is wonderful as well. The two ladies at the front desk are always friendly, professional, and helpful whenever you call. They make sure all of your questions are answered and that you feel welcome. The office is very clean, and I appreciate how seriously they take sanitation and cleanliness. I was especially happy to find a family eye doctor after moving back home, and it’s a huge plus that they accept a variety of insurance plans. I am truly grateful to have found such a caring and professional eye care team. Give Dr. Ruiz office a call—you won’t be disappointed!

We took my mom in for glaucoma testing and Dr. Thomas Ruiz at Mint Vision was incredible. He took a thorough history, explained each test and why it mattered with her medical background, and treated her with real kindness and patience. When it came time to pick glasses, he made sure she was comfortable and brought the frames to her with a mirror so she didn’t have to move around. Exceptional care, we’ll absolutely be returning. Also everyone in the office was amazing. They were all very kind.
What a great practice! I had the best experience! I’m new to Mint Vision and everyone from the receptionist, to the technician, to the doctor, gave me that hometown feeling… like they’ve known me forever. They were genuine and kind. They listened carefully to my needs and thoroughly answered my questions. My eye assessment was thorough as well and Dr. Ruiz was very patient. They had a great assortment of stylish frames. I was offered different options on my new lenses and they didn’t break the bank either! I cannot wait for them to come in! Such a great group of people! You’re crazy to go anywhere else!
