Dr. Moore was my very first eye doctor before he even moved to his current location. He is an excellent doctor and very kind. I went to him until nine years ago. When he moved they got new assistants. On more than one occasion they messed up on a prescription or an appointment. We all make mistakes so I would have gladly overlooked these if they had given a simple apology and fixed the problem. Instead I was always made to feel like it had to be my fault because they don't make mistakes. I finally got tired of the treatment and moved on to a different doctor. Unfortunately the doctor I found retired recently. I decided to try Moore Family Eye Care again thinking that things might be better after such a long time had passed. I saw Dr. Peeper and was so excited when he understood my Visual Snow problem! It is extremely rare and no other doctor has ever understood when I tried to explain to them about what I see. He is kind, listens well, and does a very thorough and good job. I was unable to find frames there so on another day I asked for me prescription. I called and they said I hadn't been in since 2017 and my prescription wasn't in the computer. The lady was very kind and did finally remember me but then she told me she would message me after she got my new prescription from the doctor. After waiting an hour with no message we went there to try to get the prescription. I was given a printed prescription and took it to get glasses made. As soon as I put the new glasses on I knew something was drastically wrong. The assistant at the place that made the glasses compared the new prescription with the one in the glasses I had been wearing. The new prescription was half the strength my old one was. We went back to Moore Family Eye Care and I told the assistant at the desk that something was wrong. I was very polite and my last wish was to make trouble. As I said, mistakes happen. I was not upset. All I wanted was the correct prescription to take back. The assistant got two other women to come look. One took over and instead of just fixing the problem she started to try to lay blame for it on anyone's door but theirs. She accused me of wearing glasses in with a different prescription and of lying about how much my prescription had changed since I'd been there in 2017. She was very unkind. It didn't even make sense since the prescriptions were so drastically different. I told her I was not there to make trouble. She took me back to an exam room and made me read the chart to her through my old glasses and then through my new glasses. I told her the new glasses made me feel like I was going to throw up and it was quite apparent that I was in distress when I had them on but she wouldn't give in. She then left me without much of an explanation to wait for Dr. Peeper. He was very kind and apologized profusely. It turns out they had given me my prescription from nine years ago. He redid the exam and then printed the prescription out for me so I wouldn't have to go back to the front desk. I left with the correct prescription but after reading through the new glasses I also had a migraine. I was supposed to come in for a contact fitting but I canceled and will not be returning. I really like the doctors there but the assistants are too difficult to deal with.

Called to get a lens put back in a pair of glasses. The lady I talked to was very professional and polite. I told her that I didn't buy them there but she said they would help. I drove to Mtn. Grove to Moore eye center and talked to the same lady. However another lady took my glasses and started trying to force the lens into the frame without loosening the screws, bending the frame. Then she told me, here's the problem, the frames bend. She was rude and very unprofessional, I will not recommend Moore family eye care to anyone.
My children and I visited Moore Family Eye care for the first time recently after moving to the area. We really liked it! Their space and lobby is clean and well-maintained. The employees were friendly, helpful, patient and so kind to us. After our initial eye exam, the dr. spent quite a bit of time with us as my son was having trouble with the vision in his left eye. The dr. was so very thorough and made our visit personable and customized to our needs. As a mother (and my son's first eye appt. ever!), I really appreciate the attentive care. The ladies at the front spent plenty of time finding glasses that fit my son's face, ensuring they were comfortable. They came in quickly after ordering. He is wearing them now doing his copywriting homework. I am encouraged and thankful for our wonderful experience!
I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Moore Eye Care. The front end staff worked hard to work through a confusing insurance issue and the whole exam process was seamless and anxiety-free. Great selection of glasses and very fairly priced. What a wonderful resource to have in a rural town for eye care!
Dr. Moore is very knowledgeable and caring. He takes the time to answer all of your questions and leaves no stone unturned when completing your eye exam. I have been seeing him for years and I am extremely satisfied with his office. If you have any concerns or questions about your vision, I would highly recommend contacting him and scheduling an appointment.
