Was recommend here a while back by many members of Brazilian community. My mom always went here for years but I want to a big name store. Bring my girlfriend this time. Love the local feel that u get to know the staff and they take care you. Saved. Lot of money by switching here. Very friendly and I love the ophthalmologist. Speak Portuguese and Spanish
Didn’t expect much from this local Avenue shop in the hood. What started out as an emergency repair turned into a new client. Im about 20 min away from Mount Vernon so it’s my last place to do any business in. Not much reason for me to be here. An emergency driving thru destined me to land in this office. They were genuinely concerned and very helpful and making sure i walked out with something. They spent some time trying to repair my spectacles which impressively they did. They explained that it was a temp fix and since I was driving a long distance they would recommend swapping my lenses into a new frame. I explained I wasn’t prepared for that cost at the moment. They offered the repair at no cost nd went as far as offering a discount on the cheapest frame they had that would fit my lenses. They had me walking out before my meter was up with a new frame that they fit the lenses in precisely. I was so gracious and felt so comfortable I made an appt for a new exam to get new specs nd contacts nd asked to have my records from white plains sent over. I don’t believe in chance encounters…TY ✌️➡️
After waiting more than two months, I have finally received my prescription glasses. While I am relieved that the issue was eventually resolved, the delay and lack of communication throughout the process were still very frustrating. To their credit, the office offered me a complimentary pair of prescription glasses as compensation for the inconvenience. I appreciate the gesture and their effort to make things right. Although my experience was far from ideal, I am thankful that they acknowledged the problem and provided a solution. I hope they improve their communication and customer service processes so that future customers do not experience similar delays.
Long time resident of MV here. As a young man my family always went to county optical. After they closed we transitioned over to Mount Vernon eye care about 15 years ago and I and any family members still in ny…even the ones that moved out of MV have never looked back. All agree we feel at home here like family. We are always greeted by name, staff seems to have everything laid out for us when we visit. I have been through many changes in insurance nd they always seem to accept what I have. They go above and beyond as far as service…very reasonable pricing especially when upgrading from my insurance. Great selection of eyewear, several times they even ordered frames I found somewhere else. The owner is a great guy and a long time supporter and business man of MV. He is an artist in his trade and a gentleman. From what I understand he helps out local students with a program and always has young interns working the office. The staff is always an inclusive bunch…someone that speaks Spanish…people of color…love it. I finally got around to leaving a review bc my most recent visit was outstanding. I was gifted a pair of glasses someone bought me online. As a surprise they went to several stores and asked if they would put my lenses in and had horrible experiences…most saying they couldn’t put lenses in the frame. Seemed more that they weren’t happy they weren’t purchased at their store. She gave me the glasses as a gift saying sorry I couldn’t get anyone to make your lenses. I said don’t worry my guy will do it. Sure enough after explaining why most places won’t accept the frames and the liability of using the frames…they ultimately made the glasses and might I say their lenses the work the outcome is just in another league. 1ST CLASS
I had an amazing experience at Mount Vernon Eye Care! The service was professional, fast, and friendly from start to finish. I want to especially thank Emmanuel for his outstanding customer service. He took the time to help me find the perfect frames and made sure the lenses were just right for my vision needs. He was incredibly patient, helpful, and genuinely cared about getting everything exactly right. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and detail-oriented. I left feeling confident and well taken care of. I highly recommend this optical to anyone looking for quality service and great care—Emmanuel truly went above and beyond! He is a true asset to the team and deserves high praise for his outstanding service!
