I have been going to this eye doctor for years, and recently have been very disappointed customer service and care. I had an appointment back in january where i ordered glasses and contacts. The contacts shipped to my house, perfect. The glasses I had still not received after a month so I called. No answer, left a voicemail, no call back. I call again and leave a voicemail, finally get a call back saying they are ready. I go in to pick them up and they are not what I ordered. I ordered black frames and when I picked them up they were pink. The receptionist said no problem I will order the correct ones, they should be in about a week. This was early february, it’s now March 24. I have called numerous times and left voicemails, no one will return my calls or to give me a status on the glasses. I am so frustrated, it should not take months to get glasses and then months to fix a problem they created. Avoid this place at all costs!

Dr. Ira is great but get your glasses elsewhere. I ordered my glasses a long time ago; still no glasses. My husband called to inquire and he was told they are in. The owner expected him to drive 20 miles to get them at another location; he said no. She was to send them to me in the mail. I am still waiting. Also, the day we ordered our glasses, my husband realized we have a prescription plan. He called the SAME day; she said she had already processed the order and could not apply the RX discount. Give me a break; she could have re-done the order if she wanted to serve her customers. Cares about money and that is it. We have gone to this place for 20 years- they just lost 2 customers. I STILL want my glasses that are paid in full!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, the glasses were ordered on Sept. 23rd. I am wearing dollar store glasses compromising my eyes!

WOW!!! where do I start. I had an appointment on February 16, 2026. Very good professional eye exam & my mom purchased contact lenses & a pair of reading glasses for me ( Birthday Gift). The contact lenses went through my vision insurance I have at work. I received them at my house. No problem there. About 3 weeks goes by. Almost a whole month, but not quite yet. I call to find out about my reading glasses. Did they come in yet / confirmation about when they will come in. I get voice mail & leave a message (Day #1). The next day, around 12:30 pm I call again. They never called me back from the first message I left. Second time calling, I get voice mail again. I leave another message (Day #2). This time, I am a little upset & let them know I am upset. I even tell them in the voice mail that I looked on Google & know they have a 1.9 review rating. Might be time to call customers back & try & raise that review rating. The 3rd day now, I call again at around 12:30 pm. I get voice mail the 3rd time. However, now it states that they are closed for the day. I still leave a message (Day #3). I call again at the same time around 12:30 pm. Get voice mail again. This time, they are closed because of an emergency. I still leave a message (Day #4). Day 5 is a repeat of day 4. They are closed because of an emergency. I still leave a message (Day #5). I talk to my mom about how we should proceed. My mom paid more than $200 for these glasses & we can not get any information about if they are ready or anything. I called the Sterling Optical Corporate number. It is a waste of time. I called the general Sterling Optical Customer Service number. That is also a waste of time. I left a message on the general Sterling Optical customer service website where it states 'Contact Us'. No reply back yet. I even called another Sterling Optical location just to see if they could help me out. So, I called the Pottstown location. Wouldn't you know that on the 1st attempt I got through to an associate. She was very friendly & tried to help me as best as she could. She could not track my order because I did not purchase my glasses from her location. However, she told me that she would leave a message with the Lansdale location & have them call me back. Also, she guaranteed me that the Lansdale location would be open the next day. That day would be the day I am writing this review (March 17, 2026). Well, I DID NOT receive any call back from the Lansdale location. Nor anything from the message I did online. I called the Lansdale location again since I was told they would be open. I got voice mail the 6th time. It now stated that they were closed for 'Unforeseen Circumstances'. I left another message. This time I stated that my mom will be taking LEGAL ACTION to get her money back. My mom even went to the Lansdale location to see if they were closed or not. I live an hour & so away, so I could not do it. My mom said that the doors are locked, lights are off, no one there. Furthermore, my receipt for the glasses has another customer's name on it. My mom discovered that when I texted her a photo of the receipt. WRONG RECEIPT. Are you kidding me. Where is our receipt. Totally Messed Up. I mean, SORRY, if there is a major emergency going on, but you should have in place a way that customers can get information on their orders & a way they can pick them up. SORRY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Actually, I do not think I ever witnessed in my whole life such HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY from this location. Go somewhere else for you eye care. SORRY to say, it is NOT worth the hassle. If I could & was able, I would give a (-10000) review rating. I HATE to do such reviews & ratings. However, they gave me NO CHOICE.... My mom is now in the process of taking LEGAL ACTION to have her credit card refunded for the glasses. SAD, VERY SAD....

Just had a great experience at the Sterling location on Valley Forge Rd with Michelle. I needed the nose pieces on my glasses replaced and she did it quickly and they feel amazing. If you're looking for great service for your eyewear definitely give this location a try! Bonus she was really nice to talk with!

Stay Away. I went to the Lansdale Office on Nov. 11th. I ordered glasses on the 12th of November. It is Christmas Eve and I still have no glasses...6 weeks. I keep getting the run around about my glasses. I spoke to Michelle-total waste of time. I made several calls to find out where my glasses are and nobody returns calls. Like one reviewer said when they do answer they leave you on hold forever (I think they think you will hang-up). I went to the store to speak with someone and had a similar experience as the other reviewer and nobody but a receptionist. was there. She took my name down-and told me I wasn't the first person to have complained to her. So once again after 4 days, I called back. I was again placed on hold for a long time, I stayed on the line and finally a gentleman got on the phone and said he was the owner and was looking into the situation. He apologized and said he would call me today with an update! Well, that phone call never happened. I'm hoping, I didn't waste my money here. I will sue the company if I don't here from them soon!
