New View Optometry

I am a new customer and want to share that the professionalism by the staff and Dr Schirner is top shelf! Everything went smoothly, each test was explained to my satisfaction, and results explained in an easy to understand way. Everyone was courteous and polite. I recommend them to you if you're looking for a new eye doctor and service.

I write this review with no pleasure and no ill will. My first visit to New View was fantastic. They seemed thorough and used new techniques (no puff). As a life long eyeglass wearer I found it refreshing. I was even told that my current prescription was useable but I could update my prescription. Fantastic. I got my electronic prescription and I wanted to order from Roka (I'm an avid - but slow - runner). They sent me a pair and immediately something was off - I felt dizzy and also I couldn't read my watch - a problem I've NEVER had. Surely Roka made an error - so I sent them back and they said that the glasses were made to specification but that they would re-make them. Being impatient I also ordered a pair from Warby Parker. I had the SAME exact issue. I went in today to figure this all out and was laid out the options: 1. We can check your new glasses but we'd have to charge you since you didn't order from here 2. We can look at your prescription ... but not until Friday They may be great eye docs, etc, but I'd re-consider my options. I would hesitate to ever go back given their lack of customer service (maybe just a function of a small business with lots of customers). I am so disappointed in my experience at New View.

From start to finish, Dr. Schirner’s practice is world class! Pricing is transparent and if you opt for the service… No puff of air for checking eye pressure! No dilating the eyes! Zero discomfort. I worked with James, the tech from Long Island. Very friendly, and a fun accent. Saw Dr. Schirner - Super bright personality and even agreed to take these silly pictures (attached). As you can see from my alignment on the hand binoculars, I might need to get my vision checked! Good thing I know the best place in Flower Mound. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Dr. Schirner is a fantastic eye doctor. She was able to successfully fit me for specialty scleral lenses for my kerataconus, when other eye doctors were unable to do so. My eye surgeon said that if Dr. Schirner couldn’t fit me, no one could, after I had started to lose hope with my previous doctors. I am very glad I was referred here! Over the years, Dr. Schirner has taken the time to listen to my personal medical, lifestyle, and financial needs to ensure proper eye care is provided, beyond just what the imaging shows. Additionally, communication is always top notch!

I visit New View once per year for a complete eye exam and updated eyeglass prescription. Everyone that works there is so pleasant and helpful. Dr Jennifer is very thorough and professional. Highly recommend this optometry office! They accept our VSP vision insurance and calculate our copays quickly and efficiently.
