I’m new to the city of Newark. Just moved here from California. Adjusting has been extremely hard and I was skeptical getting new insurance and doctors. However, I was told by a friend to try out NCHC as they take all NJ insurance plans. First, I was almost brought to tears to see an entire health staff of people that look like me. All the nurses and doctors were of color so I immediately felt more relaxed. Everyone was so kind and patient with as I navigated being new to the area/health plans and how things worked here. No one caught an attitude. Everyone LISTENED to me. No one made me feel rushed. Overall a pleasant experience. I was able to see the OGBYN on one day, PCP the very next day—both offices were great experiences. Im scheduled to see a Psychiatrist and dentist in the following week and I’m confident that those will be pleasant visits as well.

I was there to see Dr Eguh Nwamaka my appointment was for 2.45 i did not to see the doctor until 5.55 and it was not the representative in the front. It was the doctor. This doctor moved so so slow it was just ridiculous this is not my first time having an appointment with her then she acts like she.Don't understand anything that you are saying she's a new doctor At this office, and she wants to change your prescriptions from the previous doctor and I will understand that if you were having problems with the old prescription this 3rd time I had to visit this office horrible then when you get back there with her, she changing everything. And not for the better I hope and pray.I never have to visit this office again because she is not a great doctor especially not for a community center, because because of her untimely movement with patients and changing their prescriptions if something is not broke, don't change it because it may not be good for your patient's health.

This place is horrible no organization very dirty rushed visit ! Me as a patient was helping the nurses or medical assistant that don’t know anything about their job to help speed up the process I was physically doing vitals and writing it down so all they had to do was enter into chart get rooms ready for next patient it’s ridiculous and that’s probably illegal because I’m not certified but I’ve came in the morning and afternoon still 3 hour waits and that’s because everyone is either sitting down on their phones or running around confused . I came here for prenatal care I would not recommend to anyone ! They lost my disability paperwork ! Also one nurse put in the someone else vitals in my chart another one schedule me for a appt the same day I was there just really dangerous place! They don’t know how to follow Hippa laws not sanitary and barely speak English. The doctor would be good if she had a better staff, facilities and wasn’t overly booked!

Literally sitting in the GYN writing this review because I was scheduled for 10a and I’m still waiting m. The doctor walks around with the same gloves and sprays Lysol on the computer and herself. She put on a pair of blue surgical gloves over the clear ones she was wearing! DO NOT visit this practice (NCHC) I’ve been to EO and it’s the same wait time and unprofessionalism.
