My husband went to this clinic with a serious eye emergency after first being seen in the ER and then being referred here for specialized care. The first doctor he saw appeared genuinely concerned about his condition. Although he provided an initial assessment, he wanted him to return the following day for a second opinion because another specialist was unavailable due to surgery. Unfortunately, our experience with the second doctor was completely different. He was arrogant, dismissive, and seemed unwilling to take my husband’s symptoms seriously. Despite the significant eye pressure that had already led to an ER visit, he brushed everything off as migraines. My husband has never suffered from migraines in his life. Instead of thoroughly investigating the issue, this doctor seemed more interested in dismissing our concerns. What made the situation even more frustrating was when my husband called me to ask a question the doctor directed questions to me as if my husband wasn’t capable of answering for himself. It felt condescending and unprofessional. Thankfully, we trusted our instincts and sought a third opinion at another eye center. That decision may have saved my husband’s vision. The specialists there immediately recognized the seriousness of his condition, and he ended up needing emergency eye surgery. We were told he was at risk of experiencing a severe episode that could have resulted in permanent vision loss if left untreated. To make matters worse, the second doctor at this clinic instructed my husband to stop using his prescribed eye drops and simply follow up in two weeks. Had we followed that advice, the outcome could have been devastating. I rarely leave negative reviews, but patients deserve to know about experiences like this. Based on what happened to us, I cannot recommend this clinic. If you feel your concerns are being dismissed, advocate for yourself and don’t hesitate to seek another opinion. In our case, doing so made all the difference.

All of the staff were extremely nice and professional. I had Dr Johnston and he was very good. He always made sure I was comfortable and addressed any concerns I had. He explained things thoroughly and assured me if I had any issues he was always there for me. I recommend Novus highly.

I have been treated for several years at Novus Clinic. I believe I am getting the best treatment available for glaucoma and macular degeneration. What I haven’t received is an explanation of the test results, their significance or a copy of the results for a better understanding of the condition and trends. I have to ask why can’t these be put on the patient portal? I know these specialists are busy. But before beginning treatment the first time why can’t they spend a few minutes explaining what the condition is, the cause and how it is being treated.

Over hr wait time unacceptable. Especially when the girl wants me to sign paperwork if im 15 minutes late charging $50. However been going here for almost 20 years and like the doctor s and staff. Glasses workers are also very good helpful.

Recently had appointment at Novus Clinic. My eyesight is not good but I thought I was in good hands I seem to have a team of people checking me out and all aspects. Bedside manner was good and I felt they cared.
