Came to Dr. Aminlari upon recommendation of two friends who also had cataract surgery. My procedures (both eyes) went smoothly and the recovery after 1-4 weeks has been progressing well. I understand that fully optimized eyesight can take up to a couple of months, but hoping for the best outcome!

My office visit ran very smoothly … on time and the technician who handles testing was very nice, patient, and knowledgeable. The doctor was nice as well and listened closely to what I said and told me exactly what was happening with my dry eye situation - and what could be done. He said if what he prescribed didn’t work, there were other treatments I could do. I’m hopeful that I’ve found a great doctor that is able to solve my issues!
Second time there and the optometrist’s assistant that I saw before the actual doctor was not the best experience. He made some comments that at first concerned me about my eye exam. He even had another assistant come and check. I had declined to have my eyes dilated just because I needed to read up close for work but he insisted. That’s probably the first time I had that done. I wasn’t pressured before. He had me go to a room to see the doctor next. Before he left he mentioned the Doctors name “Nguyen” he then made an unnecessary comment stating that that it obviously wasn’t him because he didn’t look like his last name would be that. Once the actual doctor arrived it was a different story. He was so kind and professional. After my exam he said everything looked great! So the previous comments made by the assistant were irrelevant and only had made me feel anxious and nervous.
I am impressed with the techs that escort patients to a room and complete the beginning tests and evaluation before the Doctor comes in. They are very personable, polite and comfortable with their job. Makayla let me know she remembered me from the last appointment and liked my last name. Dr. Viechnicki is personable, knowledgeable and easy to understand.
Always a good experience. Checkin and checkout process smooth and quick. Well-staffed front office. Technician was personable and professional; still human, not robotic. Dr Johnston is calm, confident, and thorough. Instills trust. Easy access for mobility-impaired at their Vista location. Highly recommend.
