DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE I’m an established patient I have been going here for years as an adult. The doctor should not be seeing children, if that’s not something they want to do, seems like a simple fix. Especially if the doctor is the wife of the owner of the practice. My child and I did not feel welcome. I generally would not write a poor review, but I do not want any other parent of a child to feel the way I did at Oakland Vision during our appointment. Today. Being a parent is hard enough to deal with a business that doesn’t want to help. This is not a child friendly office, it’s fine for adults, but they are not accustomed to handling children, even though they say they are. The office made me feel like they were doing me a favor just to see my child, there are lots of other options, I went there because I had gone there for years. They seemed offended I brought my child in. Not a good look. The office manager, listened once I brought it up and gave appropriate, responses when addressing my concerns, which I appreciate. But it seems to be a culture issue for the entire establishment. There are better options.
