My family has been a client of Madison Eye Care for a long time. In the past 3 months we have all had less than the expected level of customer service. Previously, the staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. This time, the staff (not eye doctors) have been at times rude and dismissive and also discussed private health information in front of the entire waiting room. I'm hopeful the doctors will work out the issues with their desk staff, opticians, and billing manager, so their patients can once again receive the care they are used to.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Leah Steele, as well as the rest of the staff! Dr. Steele took her time explaining things to me and I didn’t feel rushed at all. The whole experience was smooth and my glasses were ready within a week! Definitely recommend this practice if you’re looking for a new eye doctor.

I highly recommend Madison Eye Care, especially Dr Hannah Marek. Everyone was very friendly, and the equipment and technology was very modern. Dr. Marek was great at making sure I understood the process and at helping me get to the best options when it came to refining my prescription and picking contact lenses. I have been to many different offices throughout my life, and often change where I go depending on what is closest or most convenient, but I will definitely be coming back here regularly and bringing my family.

I just visited Madison Eye Care Associates for the first time for a general vision visit (no vision concerns; have vision insurance to use). The optician did a great job. She provided helpful feedback and additional selections for consideration. She went through the vision benefits and explained the differences in tiers of lenses. I appreciated her time and style insight. However, I did not appreciate the experience with the optometric technician. None of the procedures/equipment were explained. I did one set of pre-screening tests on a machine and was instructed to turn around for the next machine in the room. Upon leaving, I was told I had a $39 fee for an optomap retinal image evaluation. Of note, a disclaimer about the fee is included in the forms I had to sign pre-appointment. However, I was not informed prior to having the actual retinal image completed and I would have declined if informed. Unfortunately, I didn't have any idea what the machines/equipment are.

I have a complex eye history that many providers have struggled to fully address, but Dr. Kovats has consistently demonstrated both the patience and determination to find new ways to improve my vision at every visit. His commitment to ongoing solutions has truly made a difference for me. I would highly recommend Madison Eye Care—especially Dr. Kovats—to anyone seeking thoughtful and personalized care. In addition, the staff is always kind, welcoming, and professional.
