My experience during this visit was very disappointing. I came in seeking answers about the pain I have been experiencing and hoping to understand the underlying cause of my condition. Unfortunately, I felt there was little effort made to properly evaluate or investigate what might be causing my symptoms. The appointment felt rushed and focused primarily on prescribing medication, without offering a physical examination or discussing diagnostic testing that could help identify the source of the pain. As a patient, I expected a more thorough assessment and a stronger effort to address the root cause rather than only the symptoms. I also hope that the level of care I received was not influenced by my uninsured status. Regardless of insurance coverage, every patient deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and equal attention, especially when they are still responsible for paying for the care they receive. Additionally, I found the overall staff interaction to be unwelcoming and unnecessarily harsh, which added to an already frustrating experience. Patients should feel heard, respected, and cared for—not rushed or dismissed. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future patients can have a better experience.
Cancelled my appointment with no advance notice. At 10:02am they left me a voicemail saying ONLY TO CALL BACK TO CANCEL OR CHANGE. 30 minutes later, I got a text from the office that if I didn't call back by 1pm, they would cancel my appointment (2 days from now). I missed the text. I waited weeks. Not only that, they scheduled with the wrong doctor. I will be taking my money elsewhere. Useless.
Very bad experience at Port Chester Open Door Dental. I went in for a simple cleaning and the dentist broke my tooth during the procedure. She left me in severe pain, and when I asked for help, they told me there were no appointments for a month. I've been in pain for over two weeks and they still don't care. Even the emergency walk-in makes you wait for hours with no help. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even for a basic cleaning. The care here is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.😢
If you’re a new dental patient who values your money and time as much as I do, DO NOT COME HERE. I called and scheduled an appointment for a general dental cleaning as a new patient. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, they only took X-rays of my teeth and then told me I’d need to schedule a separate appointment for the cleaning — which would be three months later. I’ve been to about six different dental offices before, and they always did both the X-rays and the cleaning during the first visit. The only reason this office splits it into two separate visits seems to be so they can maximize their billing — but what about my time? I understand it’s their clinic and they can set their own policies, and I also understand that X-rays are needed before a cleaning. But if I specifically call to book an appointment for a general cleaning and you can’t perform the cleaning on that date, you should at least inform me ahead of time that, as a new patient, I would only be getting X-rays on the first visit. Instead, they scheduled me with no intention of cleaning at all. Kind of scammy, don’t you think?
