I am surprised to read all of the glowing reviews left for this practice after what I witnessed first hand myself this morning, and am aware has been a reoccurring theme in the recent past (from 1st hand experience). While accompanying my elderly father to his appointment this morning I saw doors locked, with patients standing outside waiting to get in well after the practice was scheduled to be opened. My own father was among at least 8-10 other individuals who were brought back to be seen by a doctor only to be left waiting for an HOUR with no doctor on site, at least his was not - and could not be located as he was not picking up his phone. Mind you his excellent staff tried to reach him. They seemed to be the frontline of the establishment and from what I could tell the glue that holds the practice together. But the burdens that have been placed on them from the sheer incompetence of their employer is beyond their pay grade in my opinion. It would be understandable had this been the first time this has happened. Unfortunately, it is the 4th time. What doctor does that?? What doctor takes an oath and then leaves his patients at the mercy of HIS schedule with NO regard for theirs? My understanding is that some have waited up to two hours to be seen at times. What is this all about? And from first hand observation it was apparent that most of these clients are not only reliant upon his services, they are reliant upon others for transportation; which now places even MORE individuals negatively impacted by a low standard of unacceptable behavior. People trying to care for loved ones are missing their jobs, their appointments and/or their obligations. So why is it acceptable to leave patients waiting for hours on end to be seen? IT'S NOT! Do better! The humble folks from Poteet, Pleasanton and Jourdanton ALL have a right to quality care! They deserve that. They have come to you for that. That begins with making your appointments on time! You would expect that from them. They expect that from you! Do better!

I arrived before my appointed time and watched a TV program about the eye in the waiting area…useful information. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable of the tasks they had to complete before I saw the doctor. The doctor was very helpful with questions that were asked along with the information that was received from me to be able to determine the next steps. I was pleased with the overall experience and I would definitely recommend this office if you’re looking for an Ophthalmologist.

The doctor and staff are very patient and professional. They made me feel like I mattered. I would not consider going anywhere where. I had cataract surgery and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Héctor was a god send, he was patient with my father, and did everything possible to get a read on one of his eyes. Dr. Champagne, is an excellent physician, explained everything to me and my father. The nurses and the staff were also great. I recommend whoever needs an Optomologist, this is your place to go.

Dr C worked really hard to help get my vision issues good. He was compassionate and made sure you felt comfortable with what he said about procedures.
