It was pleasant no real complaints. They woman who does your initial review to prepare you for the doctor was a bit unfriendly. Not mean just you knew you were just another number to her. You should always strive to smile and be friendly to patients. I never fail and im just a person who paints people's house but as a person seeing a doctor I feel thats where it gets more important to maintain professionalism.

I have been going here since 2024. The doctors and nurses have always explained things thoroughly when I didn't understand what was going on. I enjoy the doctor's office cause it's comfy and inviting.
I was told I had a choice paid $15 and get pictures of my eyes or get them dilated I chose pictures then was told I have no choice since I'm a diabetic had to get dilated then was told what insurance would pay I had to pay the same amount plus more and that ain't even including taxes I said I would find them cheaper elsewhere then had to call them and say hey you need to release all this That's illegal You cannot lock it in I have choices to where I get my glasses so they violated the law, insurance would have paid $200 then I was going to have to pay $258 plus taxes for the glasses that I would have wanted, I found somewhere else and I wound up paying $35, Owensboro family eye Care charges way too much for its glasses The doctor was friendly though we had a very good banter going back and forth making each other laugh she took the time to explain things. So unless your insurance is giving you an exceptionally great allowance I would just finding somewhere else for glasses.
very well staffed, person who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. Dr Horton is very nice and really knows her stuff. I've been seeing her for quite a few years. I would recommend her and the Owensboro Family Eye Care facility
My 5 year old had an amazing first eye exam! Staff was extremely friendly! We were in and out in less than 30 minutes! They were great at rescheduling due to health concerns!
