Palisades Eye is the best eye care place I’ve been to. I usually visit the Bayonne location because it’s closer, but I needed an urgent appointment after scratching my eye and experiencing increased light sensitivity. The soonest available appointment was at the Union office, and I’m so glad I went. The staff were incredibly welcoming and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. The atmosphere was warm, professional, and very friendly. I waited about 17 minutes in the exam room before being seen, which was reasonable for an urgent visit. Dr. Betty Cervenak was outstanding. She asked thoughtful questions to fully understand my situation and made sure I received the best possible care. She explained everything clearly, addressed all of my concerns, and had me feeling reassured throughout the visit. The exam itself was efficient, and I was done within about 10 minutes. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend the Union location to anyone needing attentive and compassionate eye care.

I had a wonderful experience at Palisade Eye. Dr. Modi and the entire staff were amazing from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. They exceeded my expectations with their level of care, attention, and kindness. Thank you, Dr. Modi and the whole team, for providing such excellent service. I highly recommend Palisade Eye to anyone looking for outstanding eye care!
I recently had cataract surgery with a lens implant at Palisades Eye Laser, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. After visiting several other doctors and not feeling fully confident, I finally met Dr. Rau—and I knew I was in the right place. Dr. Rau is an exceptional and highly skilled surgeon. What really stood out to me was how thorough and precise the practice is. They offer an additional test (well worth it) that ensures your vision is measured with incredible accuracy—no guessing involved. The results were truly life-changing. The very next day after surgery, when the patch came off, I had 20/20 vision. After years of seeing the world blurry, this felt like such a gift. Dr. Rau’s talent and attention to detail are unmatched, and I am beyond grateful for the perfect outcome. We often take our eyesight for granted, and trusting the right surgeon makes all the difference. I highly recommend Dr. Rau and the team at Palisades Eye Laser—you will be in excellent hands. 💚
I was recommended to come to Pallisade Eye by my son’s pediatrician. While the office was not geared towards small children we had a wonderful appointment. Dr Parikh took care of my three year old, was very kind and patient with my son! I really appreciated his demeanor and solutions for my child’s vision issues.
I’m writing this review because of an unpleasant experience I had today with one of the office staff members, Perdita. My husband dropped off my daughter’s eyeglasses around 9:00 AM to have the spring repaired. He was told it would take about 45 minutes to 2 hours, and that we could pick it up in the afternoon. When I arrived at 3:30 PM to pick them up, I informed Perdita that I was there for the repair. She immediately sounded irritated and asked, “Did you get a call?” She then said, “I told your husband I would call him.” I explained that it had already been over 6 hours, so I thought it would be ready. She then pulled my daughter’s glasses from the bottom of her desk and said, “Can’t you see I’m still working on it?” Her tone was very dismissive and unprofessional. I politely asked when I should come back—today or tomorrow—and she simply repeated that she would call, without giving any timeframe. I completely understand that offices get busy and that there may be other customers, but basic professionalism and courtesy go a long way. Unfortunately, the interaction left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. On my way out, I told her she didn’t have to be nasty to me. At that point, I decided to just leave and wait for the call. I hope management addresses situations like this. Patients and parents should feel respected when coming into the office.
