Dr Ludwig is the best ophthalmologist I have ever had an eye exam with in my entire lifetime of wearing glasses. Her clear communication throughout the exam makes me leave feeling confident that my prescription is at the best strength for my eyes when previous eye doctors would leave me doubting my vision results and questioning if my choices of "which is better" were even accurate. Absolutely amazing doctor. Wish I could leave a rating of 20/20!

I really enjoyed how thorough the exam was overall compared to the exam I had at vision works a year ago. Much better selection of frames covered by mn state medicaid insurance such as ucare as well. Can't say for sure about other plans though. I have ucare connect and my girlfriend has hennepin health so those I know for sure are covered. Don't go to visionworks if you want a better selection. Go here instead. Thanks again pearle vision in St. Louis Park, Mn.
I went to this Pearle Vision once and will not be going back. Only raised to a 2 star because the eye doctor was nice and worked efficiently and accurately. The people working in the front and over the phone are very unorganized. I made sure to explain MULTIPLE times when in person that I do not have eye insurance currently and that I will be paying for everything out of pocket. They still looked up if I had insurance, which is fine, but they found an old inactive insurance plan from another state that had expired over a year ago. I told them many times to not file anything under that insurance and charge me for everything out of pocket. I thought I left paying for the full exam and a set of contacts. 1 month later, I received a letter in the mail from them saying I had an eye exam co-pay through my old expired insurance. I called them and it took a few days for them to figure it out, but sure enough they didn’t charge me for a glasses exam, just the contact exam and contact lenses, and filed the glasses exam portion through my expired insurance which I repeatedly asked them not to do. When I finally got a hold of someone over the phone, he was EXTREMELY rude about it. I explained I would pay OOP for the eye exam but that I was frustrated that I didn’t just pay for everything over a month ago as I requested and now have an unexpected payment over a month later due to their mistake. He kept saying things along the lines of “it wasn’t a mistake” or”I wasn’t there so I don’t know.” And repeatedly insinuated that I was in the wrong and that Pearle Vision wouldn’t have made that mistake. Due to the poor customer service, especially over the phone when I had to call to correct THEIR mistake, I won’t be going back. I try to be understanding that eye clinics are very busy, but a simple “I’m sorry for the confusion” would have gone a long way. It’s very clear they are very unorganized.
I came in for an eye appointment and it was quick and easy. The doctor was friendly and had me out of there in about 10 minutes. I have no complaints and will be back in a few years for another checkup. The issue I had was with the prices of the frames. They were almost double the amount you can get them online. This seems to be the case with every eye doctor I have been with. Every time I get new glasses or lenses I do it online for less.
My aunt came in for a very first eye exam and she was super nervous with her anxiety level at a high. That all changed when she was greeted by Joshua and Kim that were working the front area. Dr. Jackson took great care of my aunt and was patient with her during the exam guiding her through every part of the exam! I’m glad I went with this location for her first eye exam and she told me she wants return when the time comes. Joshua and Kim did an amazing job explaining the different types of lens offered and their benefits for everyday use as well as what allowance and copays VSP insurance will help with. Thank you again!
