Dr. Dane Bagley is nothing short of phenomenal, and the remainder of this review has nothing to do with him. I switched to him last year after multiple poor experiences with a different optometrist, and he has been stellar. I recently had to see him a few weeks ago for an eye infection, and the care he provided resolved my issues. Thank you, Dr. Bagley. I went back here today (7/15/26) for my annual eye exam. Unfortunately, I did not realize until yesterday that my annual eye exam was not scheduled with Dr. Bagley. It was scheduled with Dr. Karolyn Lane-Hill. Against my better judgment, I elected to proceed with my annual eye exam today. I informed Dr. Lane-Hill of the vision changes I have noticed in my right eye post-eye infection, and that it is similar to how my vision worsens prior to my annual eye exam. She initially utilized some sort of different equipment for my eye exam that did not require her to physically adjust the lenses. I attributed it to new technology and rolled with it. After completing my eye exam, she stated that she was going to leave my prescription the same. I expressed my concerns again regarding the vision changes in my right eye and how the clarity/focus of current contact prescription is not what it used to be. She proceeded to state that corneal issues - secondary to my recent eye infection - could be the cause of my vision problem and physically assessed both of my eyes. She then had me put on some sort of special eyeglasses that allowed her to slide different lenses in and out, along with what looked like mini magnifying glasses. After completing her exam with the special eyeglasses, she stated that she would “be right back” and left the room. She returned with contact lenses in hand and asked me to put them in, and I did. After putting the contacts in, I noticed that the right eye contact prescription label stated that it was -7.50, when my current right eye prescription is -8.00. When I started to question why the contact prescription was -0.50 less than my current prescription, she stated “I know that they’re different”. I asked why the prescription strength was different, and she stated that my current contact prescription was for astigmatism compensation instead of astigmatism correction. When I tried to ask for further details to understand her reasoning, she got incredibly rude and defensive. She stated that “all I(she) am(is) hearing is complaints about your(my) vision but you(I) won’t accept the solution that I(she) am(is) trying to give you(me)”. I became visibly upset and stated that I was simply trying to advocate for myself and that I didn’t understand the change in prescription strength despite trying to. She did not clarify or try to explain the rationale behind the prescription changes. She stated that she could “sympathize” due to her vision being similar to mine, but was less than sympathetic. I asked if I could put my old contacts back in and she told me that I “could if you(I) want to”. She stated that when I was done that I could go to the lobby for checkout, and then stormed out of the room. I put my old contacts back in while fighting back tears and went to the lobby, where I proceeded to book an eye appointment with Dr. Bagley for 8/5/26. If my prescription truly has changed, and I need a lower contact prescription strength with astigmatism accomodations, so be it. But the dismissive way that Dr. Lane-Hill addressed my concerns, along with her lack of simplifying her explanation, was unacceptable. She became defensive the moment I questioned her, when all I wanted was to ensure that I left with the correct contact prescription and the ability to see more clearly out of my right eye. I was never hostile or aggressive, I simply asked questions. As a healthcare worker myself, defensiveness is not the approach to take when someone has questions. I have zero complaints about Dr. Bagley or the office staff. My experience today was far worse than any optometrist appointment I have had before. I look forward to seeing Dr. Bagley again.

Will repost if it gets deleted! The manager at this establishment is very rude. I was calling to speak to her about their location being on my workplace list of optical locations who take our vouchers, instead of her being professional , reasonable and understanding, her attitude was extremely nasty. She wasnt comprehending what I was saying because I told her this location AND Marx Optical take our voucher, her response, well this isnt Marx Optical. Also I told her that MY EMPLOYER is paying for it not me. Her immature response, We dont take your insurance. You have to pay out of pocket! DUH dumb lady! I JUST said I'm not using my insurance, MY EMPLOYER IS PAYING FOR IT! Before you try being smart, learn to listen and comprehend. I understand you all DONT accept it, but its a way of delivering that. Learn to treat people with respect and decency because not everyone will accept getting treated or talked to like that. It took a nice, older lady with much more professionalism to nicely deliver the message once I called back to make a complaint about her. I will be looking for corporate to report her. Go back to being an associate (not really just quit assisting the public) because management doesnt suit her well.
The front office has been extremely disappointing. I called to ask about my pupillary distance (PD) from my most recent eye exam, and I was told it wasn’t documented anywhere in my records or notes. I was then informed I would need to come back in just to have it measured and written down. This has made me question whether my exams are being conducted thoroughly or if all necessary measurements are being properly recorded. I’ve been a patient here for years, but this experience has unfortunately cost them a customer. Excellent care from Dr. Bagley, but the front office and assistants need improvement.
Horrible experience. Was told the appointment would be no more than an hour and an hour into it I still hadn’t seen the doctor. sat in a room for 30 minutes and finally had to leave. Was treated rudely when expressing my concerns about a long wait time and told that’s just how it is. Wasted an hour and a half of my life for literally nothing.
I can't say enough great things about this eye Care clinic. They are friendly and professional. Sherri was wonderfully accommodating and a pleasure to work with during my most recent visit.
