Dr. Andreina Hurtado is an exceptional ophthalmologist. From the moment I walked into the office, the staff was welcoming, professional, and efficient. Dr. Andreina Hurtado took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand, and I never felt rushed during my appointment. Their attention to detail, expertise, and genuine care for patients really stood out.

Dr Hurtado saw my elderly mother last week - Doctor's kindness, patience and dedication is remarkable, she has an extraordinary ability to connect with patients. It is rare to see a Doctor willing to spend as much time as needed to examine and convey a clear diagnosis and treatment.
I completely forget that I never wanted to return here after my last appointment here. The wait time for the appointment is ridiculously long, I’m talking you need to clear your entire schedule for the day because it is truly anyone’s guess when you will get called back. I think the last time I came I waited about 2 hours to be seen. I work in healthcare, I understand that we are human and things take time, however this practice has continuously gotten worse with their time management. Hospitality and warmth from the staff might make up for it, however that is also severely lacking. There will ALWAYS be an excuse with this clinic; whether its multiple eye emergencies or there only being one doctor scheduled, which is an entire separate issue. All of which are signs of poor management and poor patient care. When I called to schedule this appointment, I confirmed the appointment time was at 3:30, however all the confirmation messages I received said 3:00pm, I arrived closer to what I believed my schedule time was and I still did not get called back until 4:25, about an hour and a half after I arrived. When I was called back, I still sat in an empty room for another 20 minutes. Now to continue making matters worse, Dr. Hurtado almost let me leave without dilating my pupils, which for my eye health is literally a standard and routine part of an annual eye exam. I had to ask her for it, which is beyond ridiculous to me. Please spare yourself and just find another provider. I promise you could find another provider, schedule an appointment with them, and still have time to watch an entire movie as you wait to be seen.
Dr. Hurtado is great... but make sure you don't make ANY plans the day you pay a visit for anything. The past couple of times I had to cancel important work meetings because I was there for 3 hours. Add to that the drive to go there and back, and you got a 4 hour endeavor for Dr. Hurtado to see you for 20 minutes, or at least this has been my case. It is outrageous. Last visit I schedule an appointment at 10:00am, was there at 9:25am, got in at around 10:15am, and at 11:30am I was still waiting for Dr. Hurtado with an eye anesthetized. To make it worse, for the full hour and and 15 minutes she walked by and saw me sitting there like an idiot, and didn't say a word. Nothing. Nada. I walked out. Respect people's time.
I have been a patient of Dr. Andreina Hurtado almost two years. Every time I have an appointment I have to wait at least 2-3 hours. She performed laser in both of my eyes, which didn’t make a difference. She gave me prescription glasses for my left eye a couple of months ago, but today she said that the problem was in my right eye instead (misdiagnosed). I went to try in contact lenses today, which were handled by her secretary (with long nails and no gloves), I told her that Dr. Hurtado should be the one trying them. The Dr. showed up 40 minutes after, she told me to try them, look at the phone, surroundings, etc, left and didn’t show up for another hour. My frustration was so big that I asked her to remove the contact glasses and left crying. It’s been several visits with no improvements and misdiagnosis. It’s a total mess how they overbook patients and leave them waiting for hours. Don’t spend your money, instead do your research and find other Ophthalmologists.
