Pinnacle Eye Group - Sylvania (EyeCare Specialties of Ohio)

I have been coming here for over 10 years and both of the doctors and the optician with black hair and black glasses have always been great but I had a poor experience today with the optician Shannon. She was rude, seemed disinterested in helping me, barely answered my questions, and lamented about how the business was short staffed. She also tried to charge me a fee to check the prescription of my glasses, a service that has always been free of charge and happily done in the past. I understand that this may be a new policy, and this policy is not Shannon's fault, but I am disappointed with my overall experience today after being a customer for over a decade. I hope this business improves, or I will take my business elsewhere.

It wasn’t until I sat across from what I thought was someone willing to help me my either with frames or order contacts. She was of no help wasted my time while I sat quietly and waited for her to type whatever. After discovering my benefits for product is not avail until July she proceeded to walk me to the counter. That’s went it went from bad to worse. The counter clerk ran my credit card for $95 and when I questioned it, I was told it was for a contact fitting. Proceeded to say I did not have a contact fitting. I had an eye exam there were not any lenses fitted in my eye. She carried on til the office manager came out and discovered, the clerk was incorrect. Refunded $85 back to my cc. The clerk responded with “her benefits are backward”. I responded with “because the layout on paper is backwards am I expected to pay 8 other copay?” Did my best to remain calm and not disrupt the other guests in waiting room or paying customers - but please inspect what you expect. Exam with Dr was outstanding - would highly encourage you to seek elsewhere for glasses or contact lenses. proceeded to cancel my husband’s appointment who was scheduled for Friday. This business will call you until you commit. I don’t make a whole lot of promises, but I promise this family will never go back

Dr. Kylee and her team are amazing! Dr. Kylee is incredibly patient with me whether I am getting contacts or glasses. After wearing my new glasses for a week, they still didn't feel quite right. I thought I would get used to them, but I never did. I came in on a Friday for an adjustment, and a wonderful lady working in the back worked an absolute miracle. Now, my glasses fit perfectly!

After a bad fall my glasses were destroyed. They were able to replace them with the same frame type and used my available prescription. They even had them rushed so I could see again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Eyecare Specialties!

What happened to this business-they sent me weekly email, text messages and even called me a few times and left voicemails-to remind me I need to make an appointment. So I finally did- I love Dr K-had my eyes examined and ordered my glasses-and still no glasses. No frequent emails-texts one phone call …crickets. I cancelled my order-still deciding if I will be back to see Dr. K. Just very disappointed in this business. Think twice about going here.
