The visit was good. However I later receive a Email requesting payment. I paid my co pay at the office so I didn’t fully understand beings there was no bill or statement just a notice saying I owe. When I called to inquire, they said if I wanted a bill, they could arrange to have one sent to me. I explained to them that I thought this was very poor conduct. No respect or consideration for the patient not to send any form of bill or explanation just send us this money. I will never go back to this facility again.

Went in on a Thursday for an exam. I’ll say they were efficient at getting me in and out. They weren’t able to help me with the problem I came in with. But they happily took my money. I woke up on Friday and my eye was sore. By Saturday I had a full on swollen/infected eye. I called this morning (Monday) to ask for my money back as I now have to pay another doctor to treat the infection. The lady who answered the phone was very short and a little argumentative with me about it when I asked to speak to someone in charge. Apparently the person who hands this stuff is only in every other week. How convenient for me. Will not be going back. Update: I went to urgent care to have my eye checked out and the doctor is saying the infection is bad enough that she wants me to go to the emergency room.

My insurance sent me a list of providers covered and I chose Bergman Porretta West Bloomfield. I verified with my insurance that no referral was needed. I arrived 20 minutes early with all new patient paperwork completed. After 25 minutes I am informed by the front desk that I require a referral. After explanation the lady called her billing department and was told referral is required without a call to verify or anything. They knelt insisting I have one plan vs the one I have Very very frustrating and disappointed as I now have to find another group and I am having issues with my right eye. A simple call to the insurance could have cleared it up and gained a new satisfied customer. They may be wonderful providers, however me or my family will never know.

The check-up itself was very thorough- the doctors are quick, efficient, and use advanced technology that I haven't seen at other offices. However, the WAIT was horrible and unnecessary. I've seen other reviews say there was about an hour wait, which is already unreasonable, but I waited 3.5 HOURS. This was my first time at the office and I didn't know what the normal wait time was, but when I started noticing that everyone around me was getting called (including those who arrived way after me), I knew something was up. I talked to the receptionist and she went to go check on something but never followed up with me. I proceeded to wait another hour before I spoke up again. This time, they actually looked into it and realized they had never sent my information to the back to be called! They could have solved this problem way earlier if they actually looked into it- I definitely felt dismissed as their patient. It wasn't busy at that point, so there was no excuse. Plus, I was the ONLY patient still in the waiting room. There were several receptionists who passed by me over those 3.5 hours, and none of them thought to ask if I'd been helped, even as I made direct eye contact with them. They were very apologetic when they realized their error, but this office needs either new receptionists or to train them better. There was no reason why they didn't follow up with me or see that I was the only patient still waiting. Good doctors, poor service.

I am a new patient, my experience was very friendly, and safety protocols are still in place. I appreciate the spacing of the seats and the masking still being required. I prefer not to have someone breathing in my face. Not only is the virus still here so are other virals in the air. I left my other doctor for a better doctor and I can tell the difference in my exam and so could my son also. A happy patient.
