I went for my eye exam around July 14th, and today is August 14th. A full month later, I still don't have my glasses, and it has been one excuse after another about why they aren't ready. I do want to acknowledge that the receptionist is very sweet and kind. I genuinely don't have an issue with her personally, and I understand that she is likely doing what she can in a difficult situation. However, being nice and being effective at communicating are two different things. I had to repeatedly call to get updates about my glasses, because she never contacted me with updates on her own. I also understand that she is the only staff member I ever saw there, so I can see how things could get backed up. Still, there is absolutely no reason this process should have taken a full month, and better communication would have made the situation much less frustrating. The last time I went to pick up my glasses, I was told they had to be sent off. After waiting another week, I was told they were finally back but still needed additional work. I ended up sitting in the parking lot from 3 to 5 waiting because I was told they were being worked on. I told the receptionist that I have to leave town the following day, and she said she would come in early the next morning and work on them herself to try to have them ready before I left. I can't say whether that will actually happen, but I do appreciate that she was willing to try. My frustration is not really with her personally; it's with the entire process and how long it has taken. Unfortunately, my experience with Reese has been completely different. He is rude, dismissive, and at times downright mean. I tried to overlook his comments, but some of the things he has said were simply inappropriate and made me uncomfortable. This was my second time going there, and it will most definitely be my last. The equipment also appears outdated, yet he was very confident in telling me what I could and couldn't see. I was even told that I had an eye condition that I later found out I don't actually have. That made me seriously question the quality of care I was receiving. I also have a problem with the recommendation to pay extra to have our lenses "filed down." Last year, I paid the additional $60 for both my daughter and myself after the receptionist strongly recommended and insisted that we have it done. This year, I declined the extra charge for both of us. My daughter still had her glasses from last year, and when she received her new pair this year, I compared them. They look exactly the same thickness as the lenses we paid extra to have filed down last year. That left me feeling deceived and like the additional charge was simply a way to get more money from us. What's frustrating is that the receptionist was so nice and convincing when she recommended it, so I trusted her. And then there is the overall professionalism. Reese regularly wears the same Mississippi State shirt that has visible stains and dark spots on it, yet he has no problem making judgmental comments about other people. To me, that just adds to the impression of someone who lacks professionalism and self-awareness. I've been wearing glasses since kindergarten, and I'm now 39. I've never had an experience like this. I wish I could give this place zero stars. At this point, I cannot recommend this office. Between the month-long wait for my glasses, having to repeatedly call for updates, the lack of communication, the questionable recommendation regarding the lenses, and my experience with the eye doctor himself, I am extremely disappointed. I can only speak to my own experience, but based on how I was treated, I would not be surprised if the poor customer service is part of the reason they seem to have so few customers. I truly wish I had taken my business somewhere else. This was my second visit, and it will absolutely be my last.

This was the absolute worse experience I have had in a long time. Let me start by saying the front desk staff is nice and welcoming. Mrs. Tina was the best and soooo kind. However, Frank Reese is so rude and argumentative!!! He first tried to down play how I was feeling about my eye issues telling that it could not possible be feeling like that or the incident didn't happen. Second, the front desk lady wrote that I had Medicaid on the paperwork by mistake. So he assumed I had Medicaid and tells me he doesn't know how I could possible have glasses and contact while on Medicaid. After I explain that I did not have Medicaid but vision insurance through my employer he goes back and forth with me a few times saying that I did and that the paperwork said I did. Finally he proceeds to go check with the front desk. Comes back with a slight different attitude and mannerism was a little better. He just stereotyped me and then didn't listen to my concerns or try to effectively find a solution to my problem. Frank needs to retire!! He old, rude, and grouchy. The office needs a good cleaning... It smells and has dead bugs everywhere. This was my first and last time going here. Lord I regret giving him a dime of my money. I wish I could give ZERO stars!!!
Worst place ever to get eye exam, contacts or glasses. I received the wrong size glasses and she reordered but never received them kept coming up with excuses daily blaming the ups driver. Same with contacts excuses daily saying they would be here the next day that day comes still nothing but an excuse. Finally asked for a refund and guess what same thing excuses. It’s been over a week and still nothing refund. Be warned stay away spend money on better place. Also after my experience here went to Coleman Eye Care in Greenwood overall great experience there and my prescription Reese gave me was wrong for my eyes. Again stay away from here!!!!
The staff was really welcoming and helpful! I'm happy with my visit and would go there again.
Zero stars the doctor is a complete Rude person never again DO NOT GO PLEASE BUT THE STAFF IS SO POLITE
