Absolutely love this place and their staff. They honestly from day 1 were amazing with my son who was a month away from being 4 years old at that time, The patience they have and making him comfortable at all his visits is amazing, from the staff who do the tests to Dr. Rao, they set the standards so high in how doctors and healthcare should be. Not once do we ever feel rushed and Dr. Rao is so thorough with every visit and with any questions we have. We leave every visit and even during and after surgeries with such a peace of mind that our now 6 year old son is in the best hands. Highly recommend for anyone looking for pediatric retina specialist or even adults. We love Dr. Rao and her staff!

Everyone was amazing. They were very patient and helpful with assisting my brother during his tests and making us feel comfortable. The appointment was quite lengthy but not because we had to wait long to see someone. It was extremely thorough and many tests were done. The doctors that we saw were also very patient and friendly. Dr Rahman was very clear in his explanation of his diagnosis and reassuring in his assessment that the small hole in the retina will not require surgery. I would definitely recommend this facility. Our experience was absolutely wonderful.

I am disappointed with the experience we had with Retina & Vitreous of Texas regarding my father’s appointment. I am writing this review so management takes this issue seriously and improves communication and referral verification for future patients. When we first scheduled the appointment, their office collected all insurance and patient information. Later, before the appointment date, we were informed that they had not received the required referral from the PCP, so the appointment was rescheduled after several weeks. We contacted the PCP office, arranged the referral, and made sure everything was prepared again. Unfortunately, one day before the rescheduled appointment, their office again told us they did not receive the referral. We had already confirmed with the PCP office that the referral was arranged. I personally called their office and spoke with a representative. At first, she asked us to fax the document. I explained that we did not have fax access. She then told us bringing the referral paper physically to the appointment would be acceptable. The next day, I took time off work and arranged transportation for my father and wife to attend the appointment. After arriving at the office and presenting the insurance information and referral copy, they were told the referral was still “not appropriate” and additional documentation was needed. When I spoke with the office by phone again, they could not locate or confirm the previous communication from their own staff. As a result, my father was unable to see the doctor at all. After spending time and money to attend the appointment, my father and wife had to return home by Uber without treatment or consultation. This situation caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, missed work hours, transportation expenses, and frustration for my elderly father and family. Patients often wait weeks or months for specialist appointments. Referral and insurance verification should be clearly reviewed and confirmed well before the appointment date. Staff communication should also be properly documented so patients are not given conflicting information. I hope management reviews this issue seriously and improves internal communication, referral handling, and patient coordination so future patients do not experience the same problem.

After seeing two different doctors for my retina eye issues and getting injections for 3 years and doing eye drops. Coming here for the first time I finally got a diagnosis up what was causing my eye issues and the doctor came up with a solution and a game plan on how we will tackle it. Also the staff and the nurses and a text were very professional very friendly and cared about the patient. I would definitely recommend this place.

From scheduling the appt, to seeing the nurse, to the individuals who did the testing and finally the dr I had the appt with (Dr. Holz) everything went very well. Every step was handled professionally - Every single person I encountered was professional and kind.
