I just left my second visit to this office, and it will definitely be my last. I was seen by the nurse practitioner, Cristina, and left feeling judged, dismissed, and unheard.
I came in with paperwork from BioLife that simply needed my provider to complete the requested medical forms regarding my condition. Instead of addressing what was actually being requested, Cristina insisted that the paperwork meant I needed testing and additional blood work. When I tried to explain that I didn't believe that was what the form said, I felt talked down to rather than listened to.
After leaving the appointment, I confirmed with the people who made this request that it did NOT request the testing she said I needed. Instead, it requested that my provider complete the attached medical forms regarding my condition which she told me I would have to wait 2 more weeks in order to get it signed.
This made the interaction even more frustrating because I felt like my concerns were dismissed without carefully reviewing the documents.
More than anything, I expected to be treated with respect and to have my questions answered. Instead, I left feeling judged and belittled. Whether a provider recommends additional testing is one thing, but it should be clearly explained as their medical recommendation—not presented as something the paperwork specifically requires if that isn't the case.
Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in this office, and I won't be returning.
