Was referred to this office by my eye doctor as this place is supposed to be an expert with laser procedures. This was 1 of 2 options… I chose poorly. I did my part, filled in online forms, showed up 20 minutes early as requested. Paid the specialist fee at the front desk. And I was literally the only patient in the office at the time because the one before me needed to leave as it was not made clear to them how long their appointment might last. Ok. I am next in line right… wrong. I was taken to a room and had the obligatory left/right eye check for 3 minutes…then I set in isolation for the next 30 minutes in a dark room. I heard the doctor stop at my room once and look at my chart. Evidently, I was not worthy of her time at that point. So she proceeded to go into 2 other rooms to see other patients and had a lovely 5+ min conversation with some colleagues about dogs and other fun topics. After hearing the doctor walk by my room yet again and into another room with another patient, I had enough. Never saw the doctor’s face and never want to at this point. Another “great” example of a practice not considering the patient in the room is an actual person who can hear… just a number who can wait until you are ready to meet your obligation as a care giver. Called my eye doctor after leaving to make sure this is not a referral option for them moving forward.

There are no complaints about the doctor🙂. But the front desk...they job is terrible🤨. I tried to make the appointment by online through website (got the confirmation we will contact you in 12-24 hours), left a voice message, did not receive any answer even after a week of waiting in all ways😡. The waiting time for an appointment with a doctor, considering that there was an appointment and you came on time... more than an hour at the reception😒... there is no desire to return to this clinic.

I am very pleased with Dr. Perry and her staff. Very professional but yet very caring and friendly. I will say the same about the Surgical Center. Did all they could to make my surgery as pleasant as possible. Would highly recommend Dr. Perry.

I traveled from Charlotte at the referral of a friend and it was well worth the drive . I was greeted warmly and processed promptly upon arrival. The entire staff (receptionist team, nurse and Dr. Barrett) was amazing. They were pleasant, professional and efficient. Dr. Barrett listened intently to my queries and allayed any concerns I had. She provided detailed feedback and managed expectations clearly. No one looks forward to going to the doctor, but I feel confident I am in excellent hands for my upcoming procedure.

Only suggestion would be, that if you're planning on talking about someone, maybe make sure they can't hear you..the office is super quiet. You have patients all around and then to speak so loudly came off very unprofessional. I did ask the doctor to recheck my right eye. I was polite to all the staff. The first girl that checked my vision was nice, maybe new, had to have someone check her work. No issues. The second lady that came in to check the work wasnt getting it or something..said that I kept picking numbers that made it blurry. Lol. To myself I was like, I've had glasses for like 30 years, I know how this works. So after the doc dilated my eyes, went to the waiting room with everyone else. The second lady that checked my eyes then started speaking loudly about me and my dry eyes and that I was having trouble seeing the chart and the doctor rechecked them and it was right, etc. Maybe she wanted me to hear it idk. I hadn't had insurance in a while so this was my first time in a couple years getting my eyes checked and just wanted to make sure it was right so I could get new glasses. Anyway, this was my first time here and I don't think I'll be back.
