This eye shop is so professional and next level. They have a kind manner and also are extremely detailed with tests and answering questions. My family has a history with eyes. The service with this office makes me feel secure that they will notice any problems that may need medical treatments. I got lasik a few years ago and no longer need glasses. I still come here regularly to check on my eye health.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I scheduled my appointment well in advance, and it was confirmed for tomorrow, June 4, 2026, at 10:20 AM. However, today at around 11:00 AM, I received a phone call informing me that they could not find any record of me in their system and asking which insurance provider I was registered with. At that moment, I was working and did not have access to that information, as my husband handles our insurance details. Instead of giving me an opportunity to verify the information and call back, they immediately canceled my appointment while I was still on the phone with them. I even received a text message confirming the cancellation before the call had ended. I was told that I could simply schedule another appointment. After speaking with my husband and obtaining the insurance information, I called back and rescheduled, only to be told that the next available appointment would not be until August. I find it completely unreasonable that an appointment I had been waiting for and had scheduled properly weeks in advance was canceled so quickly, and that there was no effort made to accommodate me afterward. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have been a patient there before. They have examined me in the past, and I am currently wearing glasses that were prescribed and provided by them. It is difficult to understand how they could claim to have no record of me. My husband is also a regular patient there, which makes the situation even more surprising. It feels like no real effort was made to verify my information before canceling the appointment. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with on the phone was unhelpful and came across as dismissive and rude throughout the conversation. The overall experience showed a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and very little consideration for patients’ time. Because of this experience, we are seriously reconsidering whether we will continue using this provider in the future.

I’ve had on-going eye issues and Dr. Kageyama has been amazing at handling each issue that has come up. He always makes time to see me in order to make sure it’s healing correctly. He’s very knowledgeable. Sac Optometric Group is lucky to have him there!

I love the communication. From all the staff including of course my doctor. He's always very optimistic and explains everything throughly. everyone is always in a good mood. It's nice to hear that everyone is laughing the environment is always uplifting.

The staff here scratched my glasses when handling them during an eye appointment. These scratches were not on my glasses before the appointment and I wear them to work every single day. The scratches were large deep scratches (not minor surface level scratches) on the inside of the lenses and directly in the middle of my line of sight, causing everything to appear blurry. This renders the glasses completely useless. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that the ONLY resolution they could offer me was a FIFTEEN PERCENT DISCOUNT if I purchased a new pair of glasses from them. I am a physician, so I know the importance of honesty and integrity in medicine, and this response shows that this establishment completely lacks basic integrity. If they had integrity they would have replaced the lenses. They do not care about their patients and are only after your money. A sad excuse for a healthcare establishment and honestly an embarrassment to the optometrists that work here. Me and my family will never be returning to this business again and I recommend you stay away as well. Horrible customer service experience.
