Worst optometrist experience ever I've had to go in here multiple times now because they keep getting my prescription wrong I have now given up and I have three sets of glasses that I can't use that are not my prescription and hurt my head to wear due to the prescription being so far off. Their equipment must be outdated or inadequate for what they're doing or the optometrist himself doesn't know what he's doing I don't know which. I'm frustrated though I've spent well over $700 with them and still can't use my glasses
Very strange experience. At one point, the eye dr. had to tip a machine on its side and hit it to get it to work. The whole experience wasn't great, and felt pretty unprofessional. Afterwards, I was skeptical that the prescription was accurate. The contacts I was given hurt my eyes. I ended up getting a second opinion elsewhere, and the prescription they gave me was different than the one here at Sam's optical. The lenses the different office gave me were far better. I even had an astigmatism that the Sam's eye dr didn't catch. Overall. Avoid avoid avoid. I am pretty frustrated and trying to get a refund on that exam, since I had to pay for two eye exams. We don't have insurance, so I had to self pay for two eye exams.
Today I saw Dr. David Burnett to get my eyes checked so I could buy a new pair of glasses. I have never been treated so rudely by a doctor in my entire life. Dr. Burnett completely dismissed me by saying my eyes were less bad than other people's so I really don't need to wear glasses. My drivers license requires me to wear glasses/contacts to drive. He basically acted like there was no reason for me to be there. He kept mansplaining that other people have worse eyes than me, and when I asked how often I should come in go get my eyes checked he told me some story about some tragic event that had nothing to do with my question. I came home in tears because he was so awful. I will never come here again.
Brought my 8 year old here for new glasses! He has been wearing glasses since he was 9 months old! The ladies here took great care of him helping him find the perfect pair that made him very happy! He loved the fact that he could choose the color of Transitions tint (blue his favorite) and the fact that the shaped the ear peices to fit his head perfectly! 10 out of 10 would for sure recommend!
