So I scheduled an appointment 10am for a Thursday and they told me that I would have to be rescheduled a for a sooner date because the doctor was out of office. So I end up being flexible and do so and they put me in for 2:30pm today. It is 3:44pm and I just got skipped by a 3pm appointment as I was waiting for my mom and my younger brother to get done beforehand. They just completely ignored me, and asked me if this was gonna be a problem and did nothing to help me. UNACCEPTABLE, they are AWFUL. Do no go here, they do not care about your time. Why tell me to come in and reschedule me for 2:30 if we are just gonna let other people who were scheduled after me to come in. Brilliant, no care at all, just don’t go.

Perhaps used 3 to 4 times over the years I've had my prescriptions at sams in Hilliard . Doctors have always spent the proper time and were always caring and detailed during exam.. Glasses were priced competitive, fit and ordering was normal. Highly satisfied.
I can not tell you how awesome the whole crew at the optical department is! I have been going to different places for over 20 years and never have I been to a place with such caring, hardworking people. The doctor was great, I haven’t seen this well for a long time! I was at an airport recently and I was watching the flights on the screen looking for me and wife’s plane and I was amazed on how far out I was seeing without squinting. My wife even made the comment “ how can you read that?!?” I order a years worth of contacts then picked out a set of frames and the gentleman that fits you had me try them on and checked to see the fit. You could tell he wasn’t just trying to sell me the most expensive frames and lenses. They all seemed to have a lot of experience and made the whole process pleasant! Plus if you do have to wait for them to get done with a customer you can just go around and shop! Even just watching how the crew there worked with other customers you could tell they care and it wasn’t just me having a good experience! I don’t normally write reviews but I had to give a shout out to them! Thank you guys and I look forward to my next appointment!
I get immediate appointments when I have eye problems. Both Doctors are great. I always get thorough eye exams. I don't typically have to wait more than 5 or 10 min, even as an acute appointment.
So when I made my appointment, I was instructed to arrive 15 minutes early in order to fill out paperwork and do some “pretesting.” On the day of my appointment, I was a little late, arriving about 7 minutes before noon. I was giving a cursory greeting by the optometrist, who seemed very busy with another customer. Finally, after standing there at the counter for 10 minutes (and feeling really dumb, I might add), I reminded the optometrist that I had a noon appointment. Still busy with her customer, the optometrist explained, “My girl is busy with someone else at the moment but will be with you soon.” I thought that the optometrist referring to a coworker as “my girl” was rather bizarre—for a second, I thought perhaps I'd stepped back into 1955 or something. At this point, I was rather frustrated that the optometrist had let me stand there for 10 minutes twiddling my thumbs with absolutely no regard for my time and giving me absolutely no indication when the “girl” would be out with my paperwork (which I could have probably filled out in 5 minutes), so I walked away to get a cart as I planned to do shopping after the appointment. On my way back, I hesitated to even stop back by the desk because I felt that the appropriate thing to do would just be to find a better place to have my eyes examined, a place where the staff treated their customers and coworkers in a far more professional manner. However, I did stop by the counter again, at which point the optometrist rushed over with my paperwork (which she could easily have done 15 minutes earlier) and ushered me to a dimly lit seating area around the corner and said someone would be with me “in a minute.” After she left, I briefly thought about keeping the appointment, but then I also thought about all the other places I could go, places where the optometrist would (hopefully) place far more value on my time, so I left the clipboard on the little table next to the chairs and walked away with my cart to do some shopping.
