I have been a Sam's Club member for I don't even know how long. After the service I received from the Tallahassee location today I don't believe I will be renewing my membership. My order for pick up was not correct. I saw when items were being loaded in my car and mentioned it to the gentleman. I removed what wasn't mine and it was a lot and then checked for what I was missing which was also a lot. I waited 20 to 30 minutes for the man to bring my missing items and he never did. The store refused to answer the phone. I tried to call corporate and the AI system they have is clearly glitching. I finally reached the Tallahassee store directly and a lady hung up on me mid sentence. I called back and asked for a manager. They sent me to several different people before a lady named Summer finally stated she was a manager. I explained the situation and she didn't apologize for the clubs actions, my inconvenience, the fact I live an hour away, nothing. She said all she could tell me or do for me was refund the missing items and I could come back to the store if I needed to. An hour away? No thank you. She then proceeded to tell me I should have come inside the store. No help resolving the issue or taking accountability for the store. Such a shame but it looks like it will be Costco for me. I definitely do not recommend.

Shopping at Sam’s Club (Walmart’s membership-based counterpart) comes with some surprisingly wallet-friendly wins. What stood out most to me was the noticeably higher quality of produce and meats compared to a typical Walmart run: fresh, well-stocked, and actually worth building meals around. Easily justifies the minimal annual membership fee. The food court is another unexpected highlight. There are some solid options if you’re looking for something quick, but the real star is the pizza pretzel: indulgent in the best way. It’s cheesy, gooey, with just enough salt in every bite to hit that carb craving perfectly. What I also appreciate is how “bulk” is defined here. Shopping doesn’t feel like you’re provisioning for a diner or prepping for the apocalypse. Instead of absurd quantities, it’s more like two dozen eggs or a gallon of olive oil; practical sizes for individuals or families who want to shop less often without going overboard. And yes, self-checkout has made its way here too. You may want to mentally enroll in a self-scan crash course before diving in, because it can feel like a DIY checkout certification exam. Efficient once you get the hang of it … but your first round might humble you. Overall, it strikes a nice balance: better quality, reasonable quantities, and real value without the overwhelm.

After I filled my gas tank at Sam's in Tallahassee, my car wouldn't start. The gentleman working the pumps called the auto center and a mechanic,Jaq(?), came and checked my battery before jump starting my car. He told me that I needed a new battery which he told me about the options when I arrived at the auto center. He very polite, kind and patient the entire time. Both gentlemen went above and beyond helping me today.

Sam’s Club is an excellent choice for those looking to save money on groceries, especially if you have a large family to feed. With their wide variety of products and competitive prices, it’s easy to find everything you need. While the store can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, the customer service is always top-notch, and the bathrooms are consistently clean. If you’re looking to stock up on bulk items and reduce your food costs, Sam’s Club is definitely worth a visit.
