Sanford Rakofsky MD

Dr. Rakofsky is an amazing 👁️ doctor with plenty of years of experience. I have been seeing him for years and continue to come back here over and over. He is the most down to earth doctor I've met in the medical field. He's human and treats you like a friend more than a patient. His explanations are always clear and if you have questions you can get a hold of him instantly. Anna his assistant is excellent at her job and makes everything run smoothly; she also has a great memory and really connects with the patients. Anna and Dr. Rakofsky have seen me on extremely short notice on the same day due to some discomfort I had. It's so rare to find this type of service at medical offices anymore. I wish all doctor offices would be this amazing and personable to work with. They definitely deserve ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been going to Dr. Rakofsky for over 20 years and I love the staff and his practice. I live in Atlanta and worked in Miami and would make it a point to schedule my appointments with him. He is knowledgeable, kind, thorough, patient and really is dedicated to his work and patients. Ana and Mona are both outstanding in customer service and caring skills. I met Dr. Rakofsky recently through an appointment as a new person to the practice in Coral Gables. Was overwhelmed by the team in the office and Dr. Rakofsky; Empathy, kindness, thoroughness, expertise. I was placed at ease quickly and began to feel quite confident, on my lucky selection for a new Ophthalmologist. My experience interacting with the doctor and his team, I could not ask for better treatment. This practice is wonderful.

I’ll start off by sharing that Dr. Rakofsky has been our family’s doctor for 15+ years now and none of us have ever had a problem. There is nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. Actually, there is, they don’t make doctors like this anymore. Doctors and their offices today treat you like if you were entering a factory. Doctor Rakofsky and his staff make you feel like a human being not a number. Which is why I was curious to read the very few negative reviews that were posted. But of course, leave it to the Karens of this new generation to taint an amazing, knowledgeable and extremely skilled doctor’s reputation. If Dr. Rakofsky is in fact a scam as one person mentioned, do you believe that he would’ve redirected them to another doctor? Umm no, he would’ve scammed them, isn’t that what a scam is? Next, the staff couldn’t be nicer, don’t take my word for it, call and you will see for yourself. Finally, someone mentioned 6 years ago that Dr. Rakofsky is making mistakes? If this were true, do you think he’d be allowed to still practice? Again NO! Our experience and prescriptions with Dr. Rakofsky are on point and excellent every year. It really upsets me when I see these things because in today’s world, we depend a lot on reviews to make a decision when searching for a doctor and it would truly be a shame to miss out on the opportunity getting a great exam because you are discouraged by a bad review. Dr. Rakofsky is an incredible doctor and human being. My family and I will continue seeing him every year and highly recommend him.

My family has known Dr. Rakofsky for thirty-eight years. He diagnosed my glaucoma then and has treated me ever since. I found him and his staff to very friendly and professional. I found Dr. Rakofsky to be completely thorough and always welcomes second opinions. I believe that Dr. Rakofsky is the finest eye doctor around. I believe his skills and abilities are second to none. He has kept me seeing for thirty-eight years with glaucoma in both eyes. I found him to be confident, but reassuring to patients concerning their diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Rakofsky reminds of the old country doctor that makes houses calls and has the wonderful bedside manner. The type of doctor that puts patient care first and everything else such as personal gains last. The best thing that I can say about Dr. Rakofsky is that he reminds me of my father, who was a doctor and had the same principles. I will say about Dr. Rakofsky as about my father, that is if I can be half the person they are that will be twice the person I want to be.
