My husband and I have been patients with Dr.Claycomb since 2020 and we are extremely pleased with his service. He is very thorough and take his time to make sure he diagnose the problem correctly. He felt I needed a second opinion; therefore, he refer me to another specialist at Arkansas Retina. Dr. Claycomb office staff is very courteous and professional. I recommend Dr.Claycomb to anyone seeking professional eye care.
He takes great care of my dad. He had a stroke in his eye with COVID but with Dr Claycombs help his vision returned. He’s also helped him and my mom with other problems they’ve had. You may have to wait a little longer with your appointment but that’s because he takes excellent care of your vision. It means a lot to those up in years to be able to continue their daily routine.
Dr. Claycomb is an Ophthalmologist not an Optometrist, but his business partner is an Optometrist. Basically just means most of his procedures fall under medical insurance and not vision insurance. He's a medical doctor so he can do surgery on his patients and offer a lot more than a basic eye exam and glasses. Mostly does cataract surgery and lasers for things like macular degeneration and diabetes, but is also good for emergency eye problems and things like glaucoma. The parking lot was pretty full the last time I visited. Sometimes his wait times can be pretty ridiculous, but its probably because the next nearest Ophthalmologist is in Pine Bluff. So he services a pretty large area. All the little old ladies seem to love him.
He has many patients, and he check each of them out thoroughly before diagnosing the problem in order to give them the proper treatments! He also refer his patients to other ophthalmologists if he isn't sure about what their conditions are or for validation or conformation! I really appreciate him for doing this!
